Ade Siiter  rased livestock, butchered cows and chicken and drived the meat to Duluth to be sold at the market, 30 miles from Cloquet.

The family survived the Cloquet`s fire of 1918 by sitting and waiting in the lake on the Siiter property.

He died becouse of high blood pressure.

The family first lived in the town of Cloquet. They moved to the area of Brevator.
