| He came just like a ray of sunshine And in this troubled world he made me feel fine I knew he was the one for me Because he fit my fantasies But now my heart is heavy and about to break My love is leaving me and I wish to follow in his wake Although, my love I've tried so hard to show He never saw my love and now he will never know I thought that someday his love would come But now it is too late for anything- it is done People tell me that it is puppy love And that it will fly away just like a dove But this feeling is not of my head but my heart But his is the end and I wish it were the start So he has to leave me now My heart has to mend but how I could get my laughter form wine But it would just pass the time If I thought I could change things I would give him these lines But he doesn't love me so I would be wasting my time Now that sad day has come That he leaves me all is done So I am here with my heart in my hands And I watch the change shift like the sands By: Alice Lynn Date: February 18, 1982 |
