| The unimaginable, What people thought unreal; Lower Manhattan Would soon begin to feel. Shakes and FireScreams of FEAR, What is happening? It is so unclear RUN!! ESCAPE!! People began to yell. GET OUT!! GET OUT!! As the building fell. It all took place On that September day, Americans all over Watched in dismay. Loved ones stood by As War took its toll And wiped away two buildings That once stood so tall. They were left to wonder Were their loved ones alive, Did they escape the TERROR, Or are they trapped inside? Red, White, and Blue Are the colors we wave, The colors of FREEDOM Our forefathers gave. America may have felt Great pain on this day, But we must stand strong And continues to pray. We must pray for PEACEE ach and every night. We must pray for VICTORY In this Terrible fight! For the battle is not over And will continue to go on, But it is up to us Americans If we want it to be won! By: Suzette Halterman |
