PLEASE NOTE: The horses leading this ride will be gaited horses, so please be prepared to move out at a faster walk than traditional breeds usually go!

Location: Apache Junction, Arizona
Donation Cost: $10 per adult rider, $8 per child (up to 18 years). Some spare horses may be available for those who don't have horses.
Route: Start at Prospector's Park, travel to Goldfield Ghost Town, have lunch, then head back.
Directions: Take U.S. Hwy 60 east to Idaho Road (exit 196) and go north on Idaho Road. Travel up through the stop sign at Lost Dutchman Road. Prospector Park will be on the east side of the road after Lost Dutchman Road. Take the second entrance and travel all the way back on the gravel road to the dead end. A large trailer staging area is to the left of the dead end with hitching posts.

Details: The ride will take about 1 1/2 hours to get to Goldfield Ghost Town. Terrain is easy to moderate. Water for horses is not available at the trailhead but is available in a trough at Goldfield Ghost Town. We will eat lunch at the Ghost Town--cost of lunch there is anywhere from $10 to $15. Overnight stabling for horses and humans is detailed below.
