Im Rahmen meines Stipendiums muss ich mehrere Vorträge halten. Einen davon konnte ich freundlicherweise an der Deutschen Schule der Borromäerinnen (DSB) in Kairo halten. Wie man sieht, handelt es sich um eine reine Mädchenschule. An der dortigen Philosophie-AG sprach ich zum Thema "Was ist Gerechtigkeit?" am Beispiel der Rechtsprechung des Bundesverfassungsgerichts und des ägyptischen Obersten Verfassungsgerichtshofes zu Meinungsfreiheit und demokratischer Partizipation, was ich im Unterricht an der AUC bereits erarbeitet hatte. Es entwickelte sich eine lebhafte Diskussion. Abschließend stellten wir uns der Fotografin. Neben mir sieht man den Lehrer Dirk Pilgram, auch ein Rotarier, und die Schülerinnen.
Giving presentations is part of my scholarship. I was able to give one of them at one of the German schools in Cairo (DSB). As you can see it is a girls' school. In their Philosophy Club I spoke about "What is Justice?" against the background of the jurisprudence of the German and the Egyptian Supreme Constitutional Courts in the fields of freedom of expression and democratic participation. I had treated the topic earlier in class at AUC. A lively discussion was the result at the DSB. Finally, we gathered for a group photo. Next to me is Dirk Pilgram, a teacher and also a Rotarian, as well as the students.
