Montagabends trifft sich der Rotaract-Club der AUC. Rotaract umfasst junge Menschen, die sich im Sinne von Rotary engagieren. Eines Abends stellte Tomader Rifaat, Direktorin des Auslandsamts und selbst Rotarierin, das Stipendiaten-Programm der Rotary-Stiftung vor. Dazu waren Ruth, Hany und ich aufgerufen, unsere Erfahrungen zu berichten. Ruth ist eine halbjährige Rotary-Stipendiatin aus den USA. Hany ist ein Ägypter, der ausgewählt wurde, ab Sommer nach Kanada zu gehen. Auf dem Bild (v.r.n.l.): Hany, Tomader, Ruth und ich sowie Karim. Letzterer ist der Präsident des Rotaract-Clubs der AUC.
On Monday nights the Rotaract Club of AUC convenes. Rotaract includes young people who get involved according to the idea of Rotary. In one of their meetings Tomader Rifaat, Director of the ISSO and a Rotarian herself, presented the scholarship program of the Rotary Foundation. Ruth, Hany, and I were asked to report our experience. Ruth is a semester scholar from the U.S. Hany is an Egyptian, who was awarded a scholarship to go to Canada this summer.
