| Why should I join Sigma Tau Delta? Joining Sigma Tau Delta means that you have met our academic requirements. Being part of the International English Honorary signifies that you have been recognized for your hard work. Membership in honor socities is a nice addition to any resume, and you get to strengthen and create friendships with other students in your major. What do I get when I join? Your initiation fee covers your one time $37 charge for national dues and the addition of local dues. Payment of national dues includes a one year subscription to The Rectangle, membership certificate, and your badge. Local dues help to fund activities and pay for your graduation cords. Why can't first year students join? Most first years do not have 9 hours of upper level English courses which is a membership requirement, but we still welcome freshmen at our meetings and activities. When are meetings? Meetings are held every other Monday at 7 p.m. in the Bachelor Reading Room and occasionally off campus. Contact one of the Exec Board officers if you would like to know when you can attend the next meeting. |
