Welcome to the North American Sigma Olomouc Supporters. Well, I shouldn't call it supporters because at the moment I am the only Sigma fan that I know of. This page isn't really a 'supporters' group that some may think. It is more intended to provide information about Sigma Olomouc in English, and to spread the popularity of the club outside of the Czech Republic. On this page you will find the latest news, rosters, pictures from matches I have attended and a message board. The message board is for anyone who follows Czech soccer. You don't have to be a fan of Sigma to post on the board.
I should say a little about myself because some people might be wondering, why Sigma Olomouc? I became interested in Sigma Olomouc in 1998, when I learned that my college (in the USA, but I am Canadian) had an exchange program with the University in Olomouc. In 2000, I attended the university for four months in the fall. During this time, I went to three Sigma matches, and two Sigma "B" matches in the MSFL (third division). By 2002, I wanted to go back to Olomouc for a few months. After I graduated from college, I went back to the Czech Republic for three months and attended eleven Sigma matches, including the away game against FK Sarajevo in the UEFA Cup. I started out as a casual Sigma supporter, but I am now a life long fan of the club.
I have almost no talent or interest in making a complicated homepage, so I will keep the format basic. I will also be linking to a few sites that provide rosters, and results because it will be easier. Perhaps, in the future this will change.
