Yep.
That's me over there. Yours truly Chris Musto. I'm an Ex-Kubert School student
who's decided to dedicate a bit of free time to a Web site to promote artwork
and such by me and some friends! Since it's my site, I'll be hosting and introducing
everyone. I hope you'll enjoy. For starters, let me tell you a bit about myself.
Basically, I started off like any artist, drawing for as long as I can remember.
I really enjoyed doing large canvas paintings of weird imagery and did plenty
of them until 1994, when I was accepted into the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon
and Graphic Art. There I learned all about illustration and how to make a living
at doing what I love. Since then I've been published in a few role playing books
and I've just landed a job in the art department of a large flag and banner
corporation, Annin. But not to worry, after a few years of practicing illustration,
graphics, and general "job art" I've returned to my strange imagery and gotten
back to the idea of just drawing and painting for FUN as well as using it as
a job skill. While the illustration and fine art fields may seem sharply divided
in some people's minds, I've been lucky enough to jump back and fourth between
the two. It's a shame, really, that fine art and illustration are viewed by
so many people as being different, but I'm hoping I can blur the line between
the two by mixing both on this site. Be sure to check back as often as possible!
Once I get the hang of this "web site" thing I'll be updating and changing all
the time (so you might wanna stick a bookmark on the title page, Hint, Hint).
I'll keep it interesting, Promise! =)
