Michael Schrodel pledged Sigma Tau Gamma in 1990.  While attending FSU, Michael was introduced to Teresa, his future bride and a future Sig Tau White Rose Queen.  She would attend softball games for no other reason than to see if Michael was playing.  Although she was not sure for which team he played, she wanted to place herself in a position to bump into him and be notice by this great man.  Her logic worked and finally when she attended a game with her friends, she saw that Michael was playing. It was "love at first sight".  Michael and Teresa eventually were married and had a daughter together that they named Carmen.

One of Michael's fondest wishes was that he would always be remembered as a supportive husband, loving father and great friend. He accomplished that goal before he departed this world. Michael viewed himself as just an ordinary guy but most everyone who met him would think of him as extraordinary.  Michael had the ability to touch a person's heart.

Michael accepted and appreciated the unique value of life. He received from Teresa something to which words cannot do justice.  The love that they shared could be felt and seen by all who knew them.  Michael was a remarkable person.  His bravery was so very stark and real that even people accustomed to seeing others endure dire circumstances were moved and inspired by his attitude.  Michael was a winner.  His positive attitude was contagious and it is in this way that we will always remember him.
