If only you knew the hell I go through, if you could see through my eyes you'd know it's be true, It seems to get tougher day by day, and everyday it seems I pray, for all of this to just go away, and for me to go to a better place to stay. To get up in the morning it's useless I know, to go to that hell, that school, I must go. It's good to know that your friends got your back, right now it's the only thing keeping me on track. I tell my folks and they're full of "I knows," that's just the way that life goes. It's hard to believe that a town this small, can take a boys dreams make them crash and then fall. I'd like my cultural knowledge to take flight, but the only culture I've learned about is white. I keep on pushing day after day, in hopes that my dream will come this way. There is one person that I know, she gives me a reason to continue, to go, from the school staff, about us come a "tee hee," according to handbook, equal opportunity, but it's easy for the human eye to see, we can't be what we want to be. -daniel 9/?/99 |
