| 3/13: Well, an interesting development occured in Ledbetter history today. Our bassist Sarah quit. Right out of the blue. Well, apparently these things happen and Ledbetter WILL move on. But Sarah isn't exactly on my happy list right now. By God, practice is still on Sunday! Ledbetter: Movin' on. | |||||||||||||||||||
| 4/2: Word up. We've dried our tears over our bassist, and had a really great practice on Sunday. We did like the Amazing Never-Ending Seven Minute "All Along the Watchtower", and it was pretty cool. Now I, Matt, webmaster, vocalist, and all around nice guy, am seriously considering switching to bass. So we, Ledbetter, would be a threesome. And not in a sexual way. | 5/1:Hey everybody. Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, but you know how life is. Or if you spend your time coming to this website maybe you don't.....anyway, right now Ledbetter is putting more of an emphasis on original material. Before, we only had one original called "Closer to You", a sort of folky love song (does that sound sappy or what). Now, we have another new one which I wrote about 2 weeks ago called "Naveed" and a jammy sort of song that Mike and I came up with a couple of days ago called "7th Inning Stretch". The song has no lyrics firstoff and second it has nothing to do with baseball, it's just that at the time my amp was conducting a baseball game and we got the title from that. | 7/02: Greetings. Well, as you may have noticed I put up a new section all about the fascinating musical instruments we play. This is to keep the rabid dogs that come here often (PETEY!!!!) at bay for at least 5 minutes, or however long it takes them to read the new page. To update you on Ledbetter affairs, Ian is out of town for like the next month, so we're looking about for someone to sit in until he returns. Also, George playing bass is still up in the air. | 8/26: DUDE!!!! It's been a while, sorry about that. Oh, by the way, howdy ya'll. Well it's been a crazy summer, and between marching band (which is a full time profession) and other stuff I just haven't had time to update. But Mike and I did play music last week, it was pretty good. And Ian's back in town, so that's cool. Anyhoo, I've updated the intruments we play section, and haven't worked on the pictures section in quite a while. | 12/15: Season's Greetings! Or some such...something. Anyhoo, a new page has turned in the biography yet to be written about Ledbetter - we have our first gig tomorrow! It is at the Allegany High School Variety Show and it's in the (oddly enough) Allegany Auditorium. We're playing our best song, "All Along the Watchtower". We would play more, but The Man has only allowed us 5-7 mins. which we're going to exceed anyway. So it's at 7 o'clock at Allegany, so if you can make it, do, cause it'll be rockin'. Also, we'll have pics of our gear and of the show tomorrow up ASAP. So that means like in a year. Not really though. Ledbetter: I ain't got no cinnamon rolls!! (private joke) | |||||||||||||||||||
