I have a friend who is obsessed with The Witck King of Angmar. For those of you who don't know who that is, if you've seen The Return of the King, the Witch King is the characer who Eowyn stabs in the face with the proclamation, "I am no man!"...
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to see RotK with this friend of mine, but I am sure his anger at this scene was loud and heard by all. |

This is an oil-pastel sketch I did of the Witch King. It's sort of based on sketches my friend drew every once in awhile when he was bored in class or at work. I must ask him if he can draw me one, or perhaps scan it so I can include it here... Comparison = fun.
Anyway, I realize there are no visible arms or hands in the sketch. And his sword is just standing magically on its own. I don't care. I like how this looks.
So live with it. |

This is the Witch King of Angmar... also known as Joseph. My best and only real friend, he lives in Berkeley, miles and miles away from boring ol' Davis, and is a student of math at Cal. From what I've heard, the math department there is not as wonderful as its reputation would have you think.
I can't believe it's only been two weeks since I've been to visit him... Well, 2.5... But still... Time passes much too slowly for me, and I seem to be jonesing for a day of hanging out with him....
