It was a slow, windy afternoon at Cook County. Everybody seemed pretty much bored, nothing major had come in. Lucy sat in the lounge reading a fascinating article in Cosmopolition. Just as she was about to finish the article the lounge door opened and in came Dr.Carter.
�Hey.�
�Hey, anything major out there?�
�Nope, it�s still slow. Lucy I was wondering if you�d like to go out for dinner tonight. That is, if you have no other plans.�
�Sure.� Lucy and Carter had been dating for the past two weeks.

Lucy got home that evening and took a long, hot shower. Then she had to decide what to wear. She selected a knee length, tube top style, deep-reddish copper silk dress, with sequinces on the top half. She straightened her hair and parted it at one side. She applied a cherry colored lipgloss to her lips, a bit of foundation, blush and mascara and she was done. While she was strapping on her black strappy heels she glanced at the time, it was 8:00. Funny, she thought. John was usually early but never late. Just then she heard the door bell to her apartment ring and got up to open it.
�You look...breath-taking,� said Carter
�Thank you, you don�t look that bad yourself.�
�I try,� he smirked.
Wearing gray pants and a rough silky shirt in a slightly darker color with a long black overcoat, Carter actually looked very good.
�Shall we go then?�
�Hold on let me just grab my coat.�

Carter and Lucy entered the fancy French restaurant and ate while making small talk about anything and everything. By the time dessert was served they both agreed that this was one of the best
Evening�s they had had in a long time. After Carter paid the bill they both slowly walked hand in hand to Carter�s jeep. They got in and Carter drove her apartment.
�Should I walk you up?�
�Sure,� she said seductively.
Carter laughed.
They started the trip upstairs and Carter thought to himself, �This may be the night we do it!� He got kinda excited but of course wouldn�t let it show. Carter had had a crush on Lucy ever since she was his med student, and really liked going out with her.
Lucy opened up her apartment door and invited him in. They went inside and she asked him if he wanted anything to drink, he declined. Then she excused herself by saying she wanted to slip into something more comfortable. She purposly left the bedroom door slightly ajar.
Carter thought to himself �It�s either now or never.� He quietly slipped into her bedroom without her noticing. She had taken off her coat and heels. She was in the process of unzipping her dress when he wrapped his arms around her waist. She slightly jumped with shock. Then she turned around in his embrace and looked into those chocolate eyes of his. No words were exchanged, the looks said it all. He went towards her her lips and she for his. They kissed delicatly at first but then the kisses became a lot more passionate. Hands were roaming everywhere. He grabbed the zipper of her dress and pushed it all the way down, revealing her naked back with a strapless bra. She started unbuttoning his shirt and took it off revealing a nicely toned stomach. She pushed it off his shoulders and kissed his neck. By now she was standing there with only her bra and underwear on. He led her to her bed and pushed her down gently. He covered her body with his, frantically kissing and touching each others bodies. He slipped his hand under her and unhooked her bra to reveal her chest. He sucked and fondled each breast. Then he took off her underwear with a little bit of help from her. Then his boxers came off and he grabbed both of her knees and opened them and put them up.
He then went inside of her. She moaned with pleasure. They rocked each other, ryhthmecally meeting their hips together. She climaxed calling his name which he mimicked simutaneously. That night, they fell asleep in each others arms.

At around seven in the morning Lucy awoke. Instead of getting up she just started at him, thinking about how hot and handsome he was. He eventually woke up too.
�Hey, Good Morning,� he said
�Sleep well?�
�Better than ever.�
�When�s your shift?�
�I start at nine.�
�What about your shift?�
�I have a day off today�
�Well I guess we have two hours to kill.�
�I can think of ways to make the time go faster...,� he smiled one of his wicked smiles.
�Oh, really? Well I�m going to go take a shower, you can take one after me�
�We better just save time and do it together.�
�Ha ha,� she laughed.
She put on an old t-shirt and walked into the bathroom, he, of course, followed. She turned on the shower and stepped in, he followed. Then his mouth went towards her and then again they were in a frenzy of kisses. He picked her up and she straddled his hips. With her back to the shower they repeated last night. After the shower they dried each other off, put on some clothes and went into the kitchen for breakfast. It was hard not to touch each other while in each others presence but they managed.
�I�m going to make pancakes for breakfast, is that okay with you?�
�Yup, that�s good�
He watched each move she made and continued to stare at her.
�Are you going to watch me all day?�
�Yup.�
She laughed and gave him a look. She served breakfast with hot cups of coffee.
After they were done eating, John looked at his watch and it said 8:45 am.
�I better get going.�
�Do you have to?� She asked in a whiny voice while holding his collar to bring him in for a kiss.
�If you do more of that, I won�t.�
�I�m just joking, go, work is more important.�
�No, first you,� he said while nuzzling her neck.
�Johhhhnnn....you ...should go�
�Fine,� he said while giving her one last kiss.

Work was as usual. Except stuff had been going on with Abby and Luka. They had been arguing all day and looked on the brink of breaking up. Carter once had a crush on Abby Lockhart too. But he was over it
now.... wasn�t he? He had Lucy Knight now. As he was about to walk into the lounge, he heard Luka shout �Go ahead now, your free to go fuck Carter however many times you like! That�s it, we are over!�
He heard Abby sobbing. She must be really hurt he thought. Luka furiously left the lounge but not before giving Carter an evil look. �What did I do? Can�t help it if I am charming and good looking... Oh stop it,� Carter thought. He went in the lounge to gather his things but his heart broke when he saw Abby sitting there on the sofa crying her eyes out, �I heard what happened. I�m really.�
�Why should you be sorry? It�s not your fault that Luka is a jerk,� she said
He took Abby into his arms and held her until her sobbing subsided. Then he volunteered to drop her off home since his shift was over. After dropping her off, he went over to Lucy�s and told her what
happened, except he left out the part about hugging her and dropping her off home.

The next day when Lucy returned to work she went over to where the nurses seemed to be whispering about something.
�Hi, everybody,� greeted Lucy
�Oh hi Lucy,� said all the nurses.
�What are you guys gossiping about now?�
�Carter and Abby.�
�What about them?� asked Lucy getting curious. The nurses didn�t know about Carter and Lucy yet.
They proceeded to tell her everything that happened and ending with �And then Carter drove her home.� Lucy was shocked but didn�t show it. She responded with a simple �Oh, I see�. Later that day Abby came up to Lucy....
