Summary: With two weeks off Carter has no idea what to do until he receives a call from the police.

Scene Opens:

Lucy fell asleep on the couch in the lounge waiting for Carter.

Carter enters and kneels next to Lucy a gives her a kiss on the forehead.

Carter: Luce sweetie.

Lucy: Hey John. What time is it?

Carter: 2am A trauma came in. Sorry it took so long.

Lucy: That�s okay I got some sleep.

Carter: What time are you on tomorrow?

Lucy: 3 to midnight.

Carter: Want to go get a bit over at Doc Magoo�s ?

Lucy: Sure I�m hungry.

Carter and Lucy make their way to Doc Magoo�s. They order their food and sit and begin to talk.

Lucy: So John what happen after I left you in the lounge with Weaver and Mark.

Carter: Nothing really.

Lucy: John what happen?

Carter: They suspended me for 2 weeks.

Lucy: WHAT? Why did they do that to you and not me?

Carter: I�m the doctor I guess I should have know better then to fall in love with me student.

Lucy: John I�m Sorry.

Carter: Don�t be sorry, I�m not.

Lucy: Yeah , but I didn�t want you to get in trouble.

Carter: I made the decision to tell everyone about us. I'm glad I did.

About a hour passes and they start to head home.

End Scene One:

After a quite drive home they arrive at the apartment.

Scene Two:

Lucy: WOW, I can�t believe what time it is.

Carter: What can�t handle it?

Lucy: I still have a good 10 hours of sleep left.

Carter: 10 hours. What happened to the other 2 hours?

Lucy: Well I need a hour to get ready for work and the other hour I thought you could help me pass.

Carter: Oh now you did didn�t you.

Lucy: Yes, but if you are too sleepy I understand.

Carter: ( Moving closer to Lucy ) I don�t have anywhere to be tomorrow. ( Her starts to kiss her )

Lucy: Oh that�s right. ( stopping him from kiss her ) Give me 10 minutes.

Carter: 10 minutes for what?

Lucy: To set the mood.

Lucy goes to set the mood while Carter waits. Then 10 minutes later Lucy calls out for Carter to come to her.

Carter enters the bathroom where Lucy is in the tub. Bubbles all around and the song (The Elvis Song ) Carter sung to here their first day in Michigan.

Carter: WOW, you sure do know how to set the mood.

Lucy: Well are you going to just stand there or are you going to come in?

Carter: ( Taking his clothes off ) Sure

Carter joins Lucy in the tub they begin to kiss.

End Scene Two:

After Carter and Lucy have their romantic bubble bath. They head into the bedroom to Continue their intimate moment and eventually they fall asleep in each others arms.

Scene Three:

It�s 12noon and Lucy gets up. She goes to take a shower. When she gets out she see that Carter is awake.

Lucy: What are you doing up?

Carter: Well I couldn�t sleep all day while you are at work.

Lucy: Oh I see. So what are you going to do today?

Carter: I have no idea.

Lucy: Well I don�t know what to tell you, but I �m sure you will find something to do.

Carter: I�m sure I will so don�t worry about me.

Lucy: I�m sorry you got suspended.

Carter: I told you not to worry. I wouldn�t change a thing.

Lucy: Really nothing.

Carter: Not one thing. I love you and I would do it all over again.

Lucy: I love you John. ( she gives him a kiss ) Well I need to go.

Carter: Wait let me get dressed and I�ll take you.

Lucy: You don�t have too I�ll take the subway.

Carter: No you wont I�ll take you.

Lucy: Ok

Carter: Thank you.

Carter goes into the bedroom to get dress. Just then to phone rings.

Lucy: Hello.

Man�s Voice: Yes I need to speak to John Carter.

Lucy: Hold on please, ( putting the phone down ) John Phone!

Carter: I�ll be right there. (Walking into the living room ) Who is it ?

Lucy: ( Handing him the phone ) Don�t know.

Carter: This is John Carter.

Man�s Voice: Yes Mr. Carter this Detective Peter Farris. There has been a problem here at you Grandmother�s house.

Carter: Oh god What�s wrong?

Detective: There was a break in here. Your grandmother wanted us to call you. She was hurt and sent to County General.

Carter: Thank you. I�m on my way.

Hanging up the phone.

Carter: Lucy we need to go now.

Lucy: What�s wrong?

Carter: Gamma is in the ER there was robbery.

Lucy: Lets go.

They go to the ER to see Gamma.

End Scene Three:

Arriving at the ER Carter and Lucy get out and go check on Gamma.

Scene Four:

Carter is going through the charts looking to see where she is. Not finding it he checks the board.

Randi: I thought you were out for 2 weeks.

Not answering her.

Randi: Carter what the hell you�re messing my charts up.

Carter: ( looking at Lucy ) Exam Room 3.

Randi: What is his problem?

Lucy: His grandmother came in.

Carter goes to Check on Gamma and Lucy follows.

Mark: Everything is fine Carter.

Gamma: John is that you?

Carter: Yes Gamma.

Gamma: John they took my silverware and my painting.

Carter: Don�t worry Gamma. ( Looking at Mark ) How is she?

Mark: She was very lucky she has some cut and bruises and we are sending her for a CT to see is she has a concussion. She also has a sprained wrist.

Carter: I�ll go with you to CT.

Lucy: Gamma how are you?

Gamma: Lucy I can�t believe I lost all my stuff.

Lucy: Lets not worry about what they took and lets just thank god you are ok.

Carter: Lucy is right Gamma. Lucy it�s almost 3.

Lucy: Yeah I need to get to work. Well you be okay?

Carter: I�ll stay with Gamma until I find out what they will do. They made want to keep her over night.

Lucy: Ok then I�ll check back in a bit to see how she is doing.

Gamma: Thank you Lucy for coming.

Lucy: No problem. You take it easy.

Carter: I�ll make sure she does. Lucy I�m going to wait around to talk with the police to find out what the hell happen.

Lucy: Ok I see you in a bit. ( Giving him a kiss ) Love you.

Carter: Love you too. I�ll see you later.

Lucy leaves to get to work and Carter goes to take Gamma to CT.

End Scene Four:

Carter returns with Gamma from CT and the detective is there waiting there to speak with him.

Scene Five:

Detective: John Carter?

Carter: Yes.

Detective: I spoke with you in the phone.

Carter: Yes, I wanted to talk to you about what happen. How could someone get into the house it�s like Fort Knox.

Detective: We think it might have been an inside job.

Carter: I find that hard to believe. We have had the same servants for 15years.

Detective: Are you sure she hasn�t hired any new people recently?

Carter: No am not. I�ll talk to her and ask her later.

Detective: Good I�ll also let you know if we come up with anything new.

Carter: Ok thanks.

Carter gets back to Gamma and sees Lucy sitting there talking with her.

Carter: How are my two favorite ladies?

Gamma: Good, so when to I go home?

Carter: You don�t. You have a concussion they want to keep you over night.

Gamma: Do I have too? I would rather go home.

Lucy: It�s just for one night and we want to make sure you are ok.

Carter: Anyways with a concussion they want to keep an eye on you and there is nothing I can do to change their minds.

Gamma: I wont be happy about this, but I�ll do it.

Carter: Good I�ll make sure it�s a private room.

Lucy: Well my break is over. I need to get back. I�ll come to see you when you get in your room.

Carter: Thanks Lucy ( Giving her a kiss goodbye )

Lucy leaves to get back to the ER and Carter waits for Gamma to go to her room.

End Scene Five:

A few moments pass and the nurse comes in to take Gamma to her room.

Final Scene:

Nurse: Ok Mrs. Carter your room is ready.

Gamma: Well you come with me John?

Carter: Of course, I�ll stop by the front desk to leave a message for Lucy so she knows what room you are in.

Gamma: Ok John don�t be long.

Carter: I�ll meet you at the elevator.

John goes to leave a message with Randi to let Lucy know what room Gamma is in.

( Back at the elevator )

Carter: Now was that too long.

Gamma: I�m sorry John for being such a bother.

Carter: You are not a bother so stop worrying about it.

They make it to her room.

Carter: Now Gamma they will give you something to help you sleep and also something for the pain.

Gamma: Thanks for being here John.

Carter: You know I�ll always be here for you.

Gamma: I know John.

Carter: Ok I�m going to go so you can get your rest and I�ll be back bright and early in the morning.

Gamma: You�re leaving.

Carter: Yes why?

Gamma: Well I thought you would stay with me I really don�t want to be alone to night.

Carter: ( knowing how scared she might still be ) Sure I�ll stay.

Sometime laps Gamma fell asleep and Carter is asleep in the chair.

( Lucy enters )

Lucy: John

Carter: Hey you off.

Lucy: Yeah. How is she?

Carter: She�ll be ok.

Lucy: Are you ready to go home?

Carter: She wants me to stay with her tonight. She is really scared to be alone.

Lucy: I don�t blame her ( taking her jacket off )

Carter: What are you doing?

Lucy: I�m staying with you.

Carter: You don�t have too.

Lucy: I know, but I want too.

Carter moves over so Lucy can sit next to him. He puts his arms around her. They lay there on the chair next to Gamma and fall asleep.
