Airport Codes
or: What does "GIG" mean?
Answer: The same as "SBGL".
Both are standing for Rio de Janeiro Galeao Int'l Airport.
"GIG" is the 3-letter IATA abbreviation, used by travel offices and booking systems, SBGL is the 4-letter ICAO abbreviation, used within airlines and ATC facilities.

This Database contains more than 10000 Airport Codes collected from various sources on the Internet.

Just unzip the content of this archive into any folder and double click Airport Codes.EXE


Usage:
------
You can search for any of the fields ICAO, IATA, town, country and airport.

The dialog "Keine Datenstze gefunden" means: no records found.


Examples:
---------

A) Search for ICAO = ED*
Enter "ed" into the field ICAO and press Enter. "*" is not required.

B) How to find Munich/Muenchen/Mnchen with unknown spelling
Search for country = Germany AND town = M*
Enter "germany" into country and "m" into town. Then press Enter.

C) How to find all Swiss and Autrian airports
Search for country = switzerland OR country = austria
1) Enter "switherland" into country
2) Press CTRL+N. A new, clear form appears
3) Enter "austria" into country
4) Press Enter.
