Be a Woman

I wonder where you are, my light,
How I question where you'll go
Yet all peace I wish you towards any goal
that Light might find its rest.
Sheath your beauty in a cloth of virtue
May your path reflect a lamb's
Be silent, sweet, but not without a voice
for that voice is a singing rain.
Be a woman full of grace
Bend not towards any man
Love but the sun, my cherished one,
for it is Light's only companion.
Maiden, love a soldier,
One who'd show you only valiant ways
Chivalry still prevails today
so find yourself a king!
Never dim your radiant soul
But exalt it if only that I may live,
Though, honestly, I hope and pray
that you do this for yourself.
