Have you ever been ill? Do you know how it feels to be bed-ridden and wait for people to help you out for everything? It is in this path of pain, fear, loneliness and depression that we turn to God. Even I met my Lord Jesus in the valley of death and despair���
My life took a sudden change in June, 1999. I conceived my second child Joshua and things started taking a different turn in my life. Until then I had not experienced sickness or pain but suddenly I fell ill and soon I found myself in the hospital bed. I went to the hospital with severe abdomen pain, the doctor diagnosed and said that there were multiple fibroids in my uterus and the entire wall of the uterus inside and outside were full of small and big fibroids. She said that I cannot have the baby because both the baby and I would have problems if I decided to continue my pregnancy because the fibroids would grow along with the baby and thereby hinder the growth of the baby. Medically my case was hopeless and they recommended that I immediately abort the child. Meanwhile, when we scanned, we found that the baby was healthy and safe. It broke our heart to hear the news that we had to abort the baby because I was five months pregnant at that time. In the midst of all this crisis, I would like to tell you something, I did not pray or seek the help of God, I wasted my life chasing the wrong thing in my life. Though I was working for a multinational bank and all my medical expenses would be reimbursed, BUT no doctors could save my child.
I reached a dead end in my life, it was now that my husband and me, we became desperate and we looked for help when some Christian friends walked into our life and showed the path of prayer and faith in God. It was for the first time in my life that I experienced the power of prayer. I hung closely to Jesus, I started praying and believing for a miracle. He heard my prayers and released me from the hospital after a week when previously the doctors had said that I had to be hospitalized until my delivery. I was brought home in the stretcher and made to lie down and strictly advised not to leave the bed. It was during this time, I heard a powerful message about faith where Jesus says, Mark 11:24 �Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.� This scripture burned in my heart and I started praying and reading the Bible. The more I read the Bible and prayed, the more my faith started increasing. Suddenly one day, I said to myself, Jesus has healed me and I got out of the bed and I started walking, I never went back to bed again. The doctors were surprised when I went and testified to them and said, �Jesus healed me�. Though I was not fully healed, I still had the fibroids, but I could walk and I was strong in my faith. In the month of January 2000, when I attended a prayer meeting, God prophetically spoke to me through a preacher and said that I would have a baby boy and that his name would be JOSHUA. I went through severe pain and allergy yet I became stronger and stronger in the Lord. During this time, Jesus touched me through the Bible and I realized that I needed forgiveness of sins and I needed to take full immersion baptism. The Lord beautifully led me to a wonderful church and with the help of good believers, I grew firm and steady in the Lord. On March 1st, 2000, I delivered my miracle boy Joshua and as promised by God, I had a normal delivery without any complications. IT WAS AMAZING AND WONDERFUL! Nobody could believe it because, what was a crisis, God turned it out to a miracle. Though the birth of my son brought joy and peace in my family but something else occurred which changed our lives spectacularly and that was when JESUS was born in our hearts.
After my healing, my whole life changed! I fell in love with my Jesus and one thing that I wanted in this world was to live for my Master and Heavenly Father. I wanted to serve Him and be a vessel of honor in His Mighty Hands. People were astonished when I started preaching fervently and passionately sharing my faith with everybody. I started my part-time ministry along with my husband in the year 2001 and in the year January 2004, the Lord spoke to me and I entered into full-time Christian service.
Jesus said, "Come unto Me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest...."(Matthew 11:28). We have rest and peace only with Jesus. Money, power, influence, luxury, status��could not give me the peace and joy that I am enjoying today.
