There is no defeat in Jesus Christ!
By Hans Van Nimwegen
Allow me to tempt you to take a few minutes to read my story. In 1999 I became very ill from a parrot sickness. I am happy to be alive and thank God for listening to all the prayers. This strange occurence was until now the most difficult test in my body that I ever had. I had bought a small parrot for my daughter. The little bird turned out to be sick. I got a heavy fever and became delirious. Our family doctor gave me a small jar of vitamin C tablets, but they didn't seem to help much.

In the meen time the parrot died. Those watching over me decided to have me taken to the hospital. After they did many tests they found the virus. The doctors put me on a respirator for 10 days and 18 days on a kidney-dialyse. Half of the time I was in a coma.

In that time I fought for my life and I had the most horrifying dreams. One of the dreams kept coming back. It was a Ninja intending to decapitate me. These dreams became so realistic and frightening that I called out to Jesus for help. As I was watching the Ninja I noticed that he was worshipping his god at a small altar. Then I had to think about what is taught about Jesus defeating all powers and principalities by being obedient to the Father. His goal was to die on the cross and become the Savior of the world and rise up after the third day. This truth became real to me and gave me the strength to withstand the Ninja; he should be afraid, not me. I told the Ninja who was constantly intimidating me ,
"My God is stronger than your god, He is the Creator of everything and my fear left and so did the Ninja."

Here are some suitable scriptures bearing on the matter.
Philippians 2:8-11 (AMP) And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross! Therefore [because He stooped so low] God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, that in (at) the name of Jesus every knee should (must) bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue [frankly and openly] confess and acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

This salvation plan from God cannot be surpassed by any other offer. From the beginning to the end it is explained in the Bible. From what I can see to have any profit from salvation we have to make a choice and accept the gift of faith to receive His grace. We can choose the way of sin, our own selfish desires or to become a child of God the way of everlasting life with the Lord. I wont go deep into the laws of God,  they were given to show us what sin is. And because of Adam and Eve we are slaves of sin. Only Jesus can free us from slavery not at once but He gives us His Holy Spirit, the Comforter; and like a tutor He forms us into the image of Christ the person God created us to be without sin. You will get involved in a battle between your old nature and the new nature that is if you decide to follow Jesus. But if we don't take Gods plan seriously we will be lead astray with all kinds of false doctrine and teachings from Satan. But I tell you that the time we live on earth is not to be compared with eternity with the Lord in heaven. So the free choice is ours. Satan is still going around seeking to kill, steal and lie. But Jesus has won the war and did not leave us as orphans to fight our battles alone. But He has given us the Spirit without measure, and He also promised to come back and take us to the place He has prepared for us  in Heaven.
