Romans 6:4 "Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism Into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk IN NEWNESS OF LIFE.�
Two boys commented on Passion of Christ like this, one boy said to the other, �I don�t get it.� The other responded, �The guy died, eh!� There might be people who hear the story year after year and don�t get it like these two boys � He died, yes! & He rose again! Yes! But it is not just a historical fact � his death and resurrection have everything to do with my life and my relationship with God right now. Hallelujah!! This week I am preparing you for resurrection in your life. If we are in Christ then we need to live a new life with new focus, new priorities and a new clean life. When you start life with God you cannot have unholy relationships and associations hanging on to you. Many people run away from me, because they are scared of whole committment, sufferings, they want easy money, easy life and compromise on certain things. But Jesus is a holy God.
Many have not still given their life completely to Jesus, you have still some areas which are stinking, still some cleaning to be done, still some confessions to be done, still bitterness and anger to be removed, still some relationships to be cut, still some arrogance and self dependency to be burnt, your past has to be forgotten and you need start new. You may tell me, But I go to church and I trust Jesus. Well, that is not enough, our lives have to be cleansed.
One particular family comes to our prayer meeting where two sisters have one husband. Are you astonished? There is more to it, the second wife has two children even though the husband is still living with the first wife. I kept speaking to the husband and the first wife, pointing out that this is wrong and a sin. The second wife is not ready to give up because of financial benefit. One day when I went to pray for their family, I looked at the husband and said, You are living with two wives, it is wrong. To my astonishment the second wife is planning to get baptized on easter with such a sin in her life. This second lady now has a choice of leaving her husband and starting afresh with GOD, but any other life is sin. The entire family has now stopped coming to my meeting . Friend, a clean start with God involves some loss, pain and faith. We need to trust God to the extent that even if you lose everything, we must trust that He will provide. Because remember He blesses the righteous. Jesus can help you do it. There are just few more days for Easter which is celebrated for the resurrection of Christ. Friend, you need resurrection also in your life! You need to crucify certain things in order to resurrect. I repeat, if there is anything unholy, you need to cut if off and start fresh, it may be a job where unrighteousness is involved, may be wrong relationship. Whatever it may be, if it is wrong, walk out!
