Jesus said, "This is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins"(Matthew 26:28)
Lord and Father, I praise You and thank You for sending us Your Son. I thank You for emptying Your heart to hug us close to You. Thank You for shedding Your blood. Thank You Lord that there is forgiveness through the shedding of Your blood. I thank You for reconciling us through Your blood, for redeeming us with Your blood, for justifying us through Your blood. Give us , O Master, the reality of Your blood! We want the reality of the powers in the blood! We need to know how to lead a victorious life through Your shed blood. I thank You for Your Word, I thank You for Your Spirit and I thank You for the blood of Your Son. In the name of Your Son Jesus I pray. Amen. Sin And God's Way Out According to the law of God, "the soul that sinneth, it shall die"(Ezekiel 18:20). God is holy and just. He judges with truth and righteousness. He doesn't say something and change it, and that's why we can trust His Word. God has bound Himself to His laws. And the unchangeable, infallible law of God says, sin will be judged. When sin and God meet, judgment is inevitable. In other words, sin strikes you dead: first your spirit and then eventually your body. God moved with judgment when Adam and Eve sinned against Him, but because of His love and mercy He provided a way out: He sacrificed a lamb. We read in Genesis that "God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them."(Genesis 3:21). Therefore God sacrificed a lamb to cover their sins. The lamb took upon itself the sin of Adam and Eve and died in place of them. The lamb paid the penalty for the sin of Adam and Eve: death. The bible tells us that the life of a creature is in it's blood. "For the life of the creature is in it's blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one's life"(Leviticus 17:11) What is an atonement? The hebrew word used for atonement here is kippurim, which is derived from the word kaphar, meaning to "cover over". So an atonement is covering over ones sin, by making an equivalent payement. If the sin is not atoned for, then the person is subject to God's wrath and judgment. In the above passage we read that it is the blood that makes atonement. And that is, it is the blood that covers sin and keeps the person who committed the sin from the wrath of God. This is why the bible says, "Without shedding of the blood there is no forgiveness of sin"(Hebrew 9:22b). Only when the blood is spilt or shed, is the life said to be given. The blood possesses the life of the creature and thus only when the blood is shed the creature is dead. Therefore, we can say that it is only when the blood is shed that the penalty of sin is paid. Behold The Lamb Of God! I want you to think on this phrase that the Lord gave me: "The Lord provided a way". Though the Lord had provided a way for Adam and Eve to approach Him, He had already judged many areas of their lives. One of the areas where the curse fell was the ground. God said, "Cursed is the ground because of you"(Genesis 3:17). Keep this in mind. As we come to the second generation of human beings, we come across two characters: Cain and Abel. The bible says, "Abel was the keeper of the sheep, and Cain was a tiller of the ground".(Genesis 4:2). In due time Cain and Abel bring offerings unto God. Cain brings fruits from the ground and Abel brings a lamb. Then we read that God accepts Abel's offering, but rejects Cain's. I have always wondered why God rejected Cain's and accepted Abel's offering. I thought may be it was because of the attitude in which they brought their offerings that made the difference. But as I meditated on the Scripture I realized that Cain brought his offering from the ground God had cursed, while Abel brought his offering the way God had provided. Abel brought a lamb, and as the blood of the lamb was shed God accepted his sacrifice. There's a very important lesson we have to learn from this: God will accept only those who come through the blood of the lamb. He is not going to accept any good works from the ground which he has already cursed. Do we have a lamb today? Let me say with John the Baptist, "Behold, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the whole world"( John 1:29). Jesus is the Lamb of God. If you're not coming through His shed blood, God is going to reject you, friend. He shed His blood as a ransom for your sins. He is the prophetic Lamb, the real Lamb that is worthy to pay the penalty of the sins of the entire human race. The Lord has provided a way out of your life of sin, to a life with God: the way is JESUS. He shed His life blood for you. His Blood Washes Away All Our Sins The bible tells us in 1 John 1:7b that the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanseth us from all sin. Some people today teach that the blood of Jesus washes away only some sin, not all. This is however not true, the blood devours every sin it comes across. Many people take the Scripture in 1 John 1:8 where it says, If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us, to say that the blood washed only some sins, and we can never be completely free from sin.. This scripture does not mean that even after the Jesus' blood cleanses us, there will be sin hidden in us. No. To make a doctrine by isolating Scripture is wrong and misleading. John here is speaking about having sin in ones life, and then not admitting the sin. If we do not admit we have sinned then we deceive ourselves and the truth that delivers us in not in us. However, the next verse tells us that if we admit we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness(1 John 1:9). Then John goes onto tell us in verse 10 that if we claim we have not sinned, that is if we say that we had no sin to be cleansed of after He cleases us, then we make Him out to be a liar. How is that? For example, I commit a sin, and then I confess my sin, and the Lord cleanses me. Now after He cleanses me, if I claim I had not committed that sin so as to keep up my reputation, then I make Him a liar, for He says He cleansed me from that sin. My friends, there is no sin that the blood cannot deal with. The blood of Jesus will scrape out every sin out of your heart, and make you as righteous and pure as heaven. Notice, the blood of Jesus does not just cover our sins, it takes AWAY our sins. In the old covenant, the bible tells us that it was impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins(Hebrew 10:4), they could only cover the sins. But through the blood of Jesus all our sins are taken away, and we are made clean and holy like God Himself. And that is to say, we are as righteous as Jesus. We receive a righteousness from God, apart from the law(Romans 3:21a), through faith in Jesus Christ. Is there any sin in the righteousness of God? No. Either you are righteous or unrighteous, there is no in-between. The bible says, We are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus(Romans 3:24). All of us were one time sinners, we were dead in our trespasses, but as we put our faith in His blood, it justified us without any cost. We were made clean just as if we had never sinned. We have now been justified by His blood...(Romans 5:9). How wonderful to receive this free justification! We didn't have to come to this fountain of blood even with one plea of righteousness, He offered the thorough cleansing absolutely free. I'm so thankful to Him for that. Jesus' cry to those who have sinned is, "Come as you are, as sinful and wretched as you are. My blood will cleanse you and make you whole." His Blood Redeemed Us What is Redemption? The greek word for redemption is apolutrosis which means "deliverance with a price". What was the price God paid for our deliverance from the hands of satan? The price God paid was the blood of His only begotten. In Ephesian 1:7, we read In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance to the riches of His grace. It is through the blood of Jesus, we have redemption. The redemption of God has to do with every area of our life. God has paid for your wholeness through His blood. He has paid for your forgiveness, for the deliverance from the particular bondage you are longing for, for your protection, for the hurts and agony you are facing, for eternal peace you so long for and for every other area you can think of, through His blood. The blood has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him Who called us(2 Peter 1:3). Peter says in His epistle, For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver and gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.(1 Peter 1:18-19). It cost God a high price to redeem you; it cost Him the blood of His only begotten. The blood brings you close to God. The blood brings you to the place where you can talk face to face with the Creator of the Universe. When we who are washed by the blood say, "In Jesus name", the doors of heaven swing wide open to our voice. Every word of our mouth is heard by God, when we pray through the blood. If you don't come through the blood of Jesus, heaven is far away from you. But thank God, we who once were far off have been brought nigh(near) through the blood of Christ. (Ephesians 2:13). We have such a great privilege to converse with the Father on a direct and individual basis. We don't need to pray through saints, we have a direct access to the throne of God. Heaven is ready to move for you through the blood. We are His and He is ours through the blood. What a wonderful blood-relation we have! Praise God for the blood of Jesus! Melchizedek Brought Out Bread And Wine... We read first about this person called Melchizedek in Genesis 14:18, where it says, Melchizedek the king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was the priest of the Most High God. We understand that Jesus is the priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek in accordance to the propechy in Psalm 110:4. Who was Melchizedek? There's a whole chapter written about him in Hebrews. Melchizedek was the king of Salem and the priest of the Most High God, who according to history reigned in Salem for 113 years. The bible mentions Melchizedek as without father or mother(Hebrew7:3). This however doesnot mean that Melchizedek was not born to human beings, but according to the Jewish history a person who was not of the lineage of Abraham was considered without father or mother. Since he was without genealogy, that is without beginning or end, he foreshadowed Jesus in being a Priest without beginning or end, and that is forever. There's something here I want to point out: Melchizedek came to Abraham with bread and wine. This was a foreshadow of Christ. As we know, bread in the new covenant represents the body of Christ and wine represents the blood of Christ. Jesus' body was broken and His blood was shed for us. History tells us that Melchizedek was a Canaanite. Canaan is the place that was promised to the Israelites, and it symbolises heaven for us, as heaven is promised to us. So to say Jesus came from heaven with His blood. But notice, the very person who brought the bread and the wine was also the priest of the Most High God. Therefore, Jesus is not only the sacrificial lamb, but also our High Priest forever. He Entered By His Own Blood... In the older covenant, there were regulations for worship and also an earthly tabernacle. What is a tabernacle? A tabernacle was a sanctuary set apart for the Lord to dwell among and meet with His people. The tabernacle consisted two places: the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. The Holy Place had the consecrated bread, the table , the lampstand and the altar of incense . The Most Holy Place was separated from the Holy Place by a curtain, and behind this curtain there is the ark of the covenant. The ark of covenant was a box that contained 3 things: the ten commandments, a jar of manna, and Aaron's staff that had budded. The lid that covered the ark was called the Mercy Seat, where the High Priest sprinkled the blood of the lamb that was sacrificed as an atonement. At the two edges of the Mercy Seat were cherubims of Glory. Cherubims are winged angels that hover around the throne of God in heaven. And thus this represented the throne of God in heaven. When everything was arranged, the priests would enter the Holy Place to carry out his ministry. But only the High Priest entered the Most Holy Place, and that too only once in a year and he was not to enter without the blood of the lamb that had been sacrificed. He was to offer the blood by sprinkling it on the Mercy Seat, for his sins and the sins committed by the people in ignorance. Now we must realize that this earthly tabernacle that was built in the old covenant was just a copy of the real tabernacle of God in heaven. So after Christ died on the cross, He entered the Most High Place by His own blood having obtained eternal redemption(Hebrew 9:12). However, Jesus placed His blood on the Mercy Seat not for Himself as He had no sin in Him, but for us. As I said, Jesus died and He rose again on the third day and then He ascended to heaven(Most Holy Place) and placed His own blood on the Mercy Seat, and obtained eternal redemption for us. When did Jesus do this? We realize this happened between the time Jesus met with Mary Magdalene and the time He met with the other disciples. How do we know that? For when Jesus met Mary, He tells her "Do not touch me, for I have not returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I Am returning to my Father and your Father, to My God and your God' "(John 20:17). Jesus tells Mary not to touch Him, as He had not yet returned to the Father to place the blood on the Mercy Seat. But later when He meets the other disciples He lets them touch Him. From this we can conclude that Jesus entered heaven to place His blood on the Mercy Seat after He met Mary at the tomb and before He met the other disciples. Forty days after Jesus was with His disciples, He again ascends to heaven, but this time to sit at the right hand of the Father, with a ministry which He is still involved in today: a ministry of intercession. This is why John says that even if we do sin, we have the One who speaks to the Father in our defense- Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only ours but the sins of the whole world.(1 John 2:1). Jesus is our intercessor and defense. My friends, the blood is ever before the Lord. Have you wondered why Jesus told His disciples, "Touch Me and see, a ghost does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have"?(Luke 24:39) Notice, He said flesh and bones, not flesh and blood! Why? Because Jesus drained all His blood for us and every drop of it is on the Mercy Seat. It is because of the blood, we are not judged. His blood does not speak judgment , but it speaks mercy, forgiveness and grace. Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is His body, and since we have a Great Priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us froma guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.(Hebrew 10:19-22) Now we have the confidence to enter the Most Holy through the blood of Jesus in full assurance of faith, and we can talk with God anytime of the day, we can sing to Him anytime we feel like. He's all ours through the blood! Thank God Jesus entered with His blood, and that He intercedes for us as our High Priest! Protection Through The Blood The blood of Jesus provides the highest protection you can ever think of. If we have the blood on our souls, destruction will have to pass over us as it happened for the Israelites. The Israelites sprinkled blood of a lamb on the door post of their houses and when the death angel saw the blood, he passed over them without bringing death. Do you have this divine seal on your soul, my friend? If you don't, then you are vulnerable to the enemies attack. God promises you no protection outside the blood. You may think all your good works is going to take you to heaven, but that's not the passport to heaven, my friend. The passport to heaven is the blood of Jesus. Our destiny to heaven is guarenteed through the blood, but if you don't have the blood, heaven is going to reject you. Do you cover yourself with the blood daily? Are you using the blood to protect your family? If the enemy can't get at you, he'll get your dear ones, and that will break your heart. Cover your family members with the blood. Protection is guarenteed. The enemy will melt before the blood as you use it against him. Don't cover your possessions with the blood. Jesus didn't shed His blood for your possessions, He shed His blood for you. It would be disrespectful to cover your car and other belongings with the blood. The blood gives us the benefit to have angelic beings minister to us. The bible says angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation(Hebrew 1:14). If we want the ministry of angels in our lives, we must have the blood of salvation. The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them who fear Him, and delivers them.(Psalm 34:7). I don't know how many angels are appointed to minister to you, but if you have the blood of Jesus on your soul, you have all the divine protection you ever need. Again I say, you must have the blood to enjoy this benefit of angelic ministry and protection. Testimonies Of The Miracle-Working Powers In The Blood Many years back, my mothers sister came to my house with her daughter to stay with us. We shared with her about the joy we had in serving the Lord Jesus. My mom's sister listened to us, and said, "Every religion has the aim of doing good. There are more than one ways to God.". (I need to tell you that we come from the hindu faith). We didn't say anything more. My mom and my aunt went out to buy some stuff from the supermarket. During this time I entered into His presence and got filled in His Spirit and went to the room where my aunt and her daughter were going to stay and I started praying over articles they would come in contact with, like their bed, their pillows, the chairs etc. I asked the Holy Spirit to rest upon these articles. I did it in accordance to Act 19:11, where Paul prayed over aprons and sent it to those who were sick and demon possessed, and they were delivered. I prayed that the Spirit of God would convict them of their sins and smite them with repentance. I didn't use the blood then, but I asked the Agent that uses the blood, the Holy Spirit, to convict and draw them to Jesus. The Holy Spirit uses the blood to convict unbelievers and it is He who uses the blood to cleanse us from our sins. One month later, I went to see this aunt and she told me, "You were right. Jesus is the only way to heaven. There is no other way.". About one month later as my aunt was sitting in her room praying, an unusual power went through her body and she started speaking in an unknown tongue, she was baptized in the Holy Spirit! Praise God! Later, my aunt's daughter gave her life to Jesus! It thrills me to think of all this! The blood draws people to God. Hallelujah! Are you sick and afflicted? Are you suffering from some dreadful disease, from pain? Has medical science given up on you and sent you back home? The solution to sickness and disease is in the blood. Jesus not only paid for your sins, but He paid for your sicknesses too. The bible says, "With His stripes we are healed"(Isaiah 53:4). If those stripes didn't have blood in it, they would be of no use. It is because of the blood stripes we have healing, physical healing. Even while Jesus walked on the earth, it was through the power in His blood flowing through His veins that people got healed. Put the sickness or disease under the blood and keep it under the blood. When you put the sickness under blood, and when you don't see an immediate manifestation, don't doubt the blood. Consider it done through faith. The enemy will cause the pain to increase or the symptoms to worsen, but don't be moved by it. Consider the symptoms to be false symptoms. Proclaim His healing and sing songs of redemption, that is songs on the blood. I have witnessed lot's of healings and miracles by pleading the blood. I will share with you some of them that I can remember: Many years back, couple of us were interceding together, when suddenly we got a phone call. We were told that one of our friends was serious and admitted in the hospital. We agreed together in prayer, and started praying something like this, "Lord, wash her with Your blood! Wash her with Your blood! Wash her with your blood....". Within 5 minutes we got another call saying our friend was well and taken back home. The blood washed away the sickness she had within minutes. Praise God forever more! The blood does wonders for us! I have been healed so many times of pains instantly as I used the blood. There were times when the symptoms would come back, then I would leave the pain under the blood and not let it hinder my work. Eventually satan would have to give up his tactics. There was a time I used to get intense allergy on my face everyday. My lips would swell up like anything and parts of my face would swell up and form lumps. I remember how powerful the blood operated in the name of Jesus. As I rebuked the allergy in the name of Jesus, it would stop immediately. I'm not exaggerating, these are real incidents. Then the next day again my face would swell up, and again I would bind it with the blood and it would stop instantly. After couple of days the allergy stopped completely. Two years later, again I started getting this allergy, I didn't know why it came back. When I prayed, the allergy grew real worse. I recognized that the enemy was bringing them back so as to doubt the power in the blood, and so I just closed the case and declared I was healed. I haven't had the allergy ever since. The blood of Jesus did it! One of my friends dad had diabetes. My friend who was an unbeliever came and told me his dad's big toe was amputated, and now the gangarene had spread till his knees and that the doctors were going to amputate his leg from the knees. I told him we would pray for his dad. One of my believer friends told me, "Let's hope he gets well." I told her, there is no "hope he gets well", there is only "faith he gets well". We believed God and prayed that this man would be healed by the blood stripes of Jesus. Two days later my friend came and told me that when the doctors diagnosed for gangarenes in his fathers legs , they found the leg was absolutely normal. The leg was totally clear. The blood of Jesus did it! My mom told me recently that her finger got smashed in between the door and it started bleeding. My mom prayed over her finger and covered it with the blood of Jesus, and she said there was no pain at all. Again, the blood of Jesus did it! Are you bound with some bondage? Are you fed up of going in circles? Do you feel it's beyond you to give up that sinful habit of yours? Look to the blood. The blood has paid the price for your deliverance. Break the bondage using the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus. There is power in the blood! I will give you one incident to stir your faith to use the blood: One of my friends had shifted from the college hostel to a house outside . Couple of days after when I met him, he told me that he was having horrible dreams. He said the first day he had a dream where is mother was tortured, the second day he had the dream of his sister being tied and tortured, and this went on for couple of days. He said he was afraid. I told him the dreams were brought about by demons, and that the house he was staying in had demons. I don't know whether this friend of mine believed in demons or not. But later in the evening, when I met him on the road, I told him I wanted to pray for him. I prayed something like this, "Lord I come to You in the name of Jesus. You have given me authority to trample over snakes and scorpions and over all the powers of darkness. You said in Your Word that whatsoever I bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever I loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Lord, I bind these demons that is bothering my friend with the blood of Jesus and in the name of Jesus. I pray that Your peace rest on that house, and that my friend will have a good nights sleep without any bad dreams. Amen" The blood did a marvelous work of cleansing. The blood of Jesus kicked out all the demons from the house, and my friend never had a bad dream ever since. They overcame him(satan) by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.(Revelation 12:11) Praise God for the overcoming power in the blood of His Son! Do Not Treat The Blood As An Unholy Thing People come and ask me if it is possible to lose ones salvation. I know that many preachers preach an unconditional eternal security these days, but is it biblical? Is it possible to fall from grace or backslide? Yes, there are umptene number of Scriptures that warn believers from falling from grace. I need to tell you, my dear friends, that all of God's promises are conditional. You can lose the seal of the blood, if you sin willfully. What does it mean to sin willfully? It means to sin deliberately, even after receiving deliverance through the knowledge of the truth. If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume God's enemies.(Hebrew 10:26) God takes this deliberate sin as treating Jesus' blood as an unholy thing. Those who rejected Moses' law died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under his foot, and who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?.(Hebrew 10:29) The preachers who preach unconditional eternal security say this is talking about unbelievers who reject the gospel of Jesus Christ, but it is not. As the writer of Hebrews is speaking of a person who has been sanctified by the blood, and then fallen from grace as it says the blood of the covenant that sanctified him. None of the preachers that preach this unconditional eternal security operate the gates of heaven, my friend. The Word of God is forever settled in the heavens and it's not going to change. Check what your pastor is teaching with the Word. Many preachers are twisting God's Word to keep people coming to their church. That's all they are concerned about: membership in their local churches. But what they should be concerned about is the membership in the Bridal company. The truth must be preached no matter how many get offended by it. However, the above verse does not mean a backslider can never return to God. No, the bible teaches the Lord is married to the backslider(Jeremiah 3:14), and He promises to heal our backslidings(Jeremiah3:21; Hosea 14: 4a). If this person repents of his sin, and comes back to God, God will freely pardon him, and restore him. Don't be deceived, friends, no sin will enter heaven. Jesus is coming after a Bride without spot or wrinkle. If you're not living holy, you're going to be left behind. If you're not living holy, God will spew you out of His mouth into the tribulation that is coming upon the inhabitants of this earth. God is serious about sin more than most people think He is. In Hebrew 6: 4-6 it says, It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened , who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting Him to public disgrace. I have seen Christians who once were on fire for God, who have been used by God greatly, then something happened in their lives and they become angry with God. They even doubt His existence! I have watched their lives after the fall, and have found how they struggled to come back to the first love. How terrible to be in this place! This kind of lukewarmness and indifference to the things of God is seen in many Churches today. They have turned the reality of the Cross into a dead-religion. Never stay in the same stage of faith for two days, you will open doors for the devil to overshadow you with this deceiving spirit. It was reported to Paul that sexual immorality was being practiced in the Church at Corinth. "It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you."(1 Corinthians 5:1). Paul instructs the believers not to associate with these people who called themselves brothers but were sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler.(1 Corinthians 5: 11). Paul then goes onto say in the next chapter, Do you not know that the wicked shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders, nor theives, nor the greedy, nor the drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10) Does this sound as if you can keep on sinning and enter God's heaven? Do you think you can say a white lie and still go to heaven? God says in His word that all liars will be turned into fiery lake of burning sulphur. I told a boy who lied a lot, "You must not lie, God will turn you into the lake of burning sulphur, the bible says so". The boy laughed and said, "I can't stop lying, I will lie till I die". What a heartless statement! Only if he knew the agony Jesus went through to pay for the sin he was committing! How can we tell people that Jesus is the only way to heaven, if we are lying all the other time? The blood stops flowing in your soul when you sin willfully, I say again. The sacrifice of the blood becomes without effect if you are in sin. The blood goes into action only when there is true repentance. Only those who will endure till the end will be saved(Matthew 24:13). If you fall aside on the way, that promise is not for you. Do You Want The Divine Seal Of The Blood? There are greater mysteries and realities to the blood, but I stop here because my aim in this article is to introduce you to the blood and benefits that come through the blood. Friends, you must have committed the vilest sin, and must be wondering, "Can the blood wash away this sin?" Yes, it can hurl it all away into the sea of forgetfulness(Micah 7:19), if you will just repent. God is ready to give you a fresh start. He loves you, He cares for you, He has plans for you, and He knows everything about you. Won't you come to Him? May be your heart is one that is full of hatred, jealousy, envy, lust, pain and confusion. "Can the blood make me whole? Can the blood help me forget my past?" Yes, beloved, the blood can seal your past and wash away everything unlike God from your life. The blood of Jesus is full of resurrection life, it can resurrect you into newness of life. The blood will connect you to heaven, and you can have a Dad who will love you and embrace you. Why would you reject Him? He demands nothing from you, but to come to Him. If you want this abundant new life in Him, pray this prayer from your heart: God, I come to you as wretched and ugly as I am. I just heard You love me, and care for me. I heard that You shed Your blood life for me so that You could hug me close to You. I believe it's all true, and I believe that the life in this blood that brought You back to life, can bring rich and abundant life into my life. Oh Jesus, please come into my heart, and wash me clean of my sins. I need a thorough cleansing. I invite you to come into my life as my Lord, and guide me in the path You have paved for me. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen. If you have entered into a relationship with Jesus, I encourage you to e-mail me using the Prayer Request Column and let me know. Or if you have testimonies on the blood, I encourage you to share it with us so that we can glorify the Lord with you. If you know this song, take some time now to sing it and thank the Lord for the blood: I just want to say, Thank You for the blood! I'm standing here today only by Your blood! What a price You paid! What a sacrifice You made! I just want to say, Thank You for the blood! Remember, in heaven the songs of redemption will be sung. The victories of the blood will be proclaimed for all of eternity. The bible says the angels in heaven will sing a new song with the wordings "...With Your blood You purchased men for God..."(Revelation 5:9b). Rejoice in the powers in the blood; use the blood on a daily basis, it is yours to use, for He shed His blood for YOU!
