Darkroom Newsgroups

Newsgroups are email communities grouped by interest, for example rec.photo.darkroom and rec.photo.marketplace are places to find discussions or "threads" about darkroom procedures or buying or selling photographic equipment.  To access newsgroups, go to your browser's mail application and check out "get news" or "mail and newsgroups."  A lot of newsgroups get unrelated junk messages posted, it's hard to get away from them, but I have found that the rec.photo.darkroom group has very good, informative discussions and the junk is easily ignored.  All newsgroups have charters, or a description of what the group is about and what is acceptable to post.  I suggest reading the charters before posting in any group.  Also, make sure your virus protection is up to date, especially if you use Outlook Express!!
