Volleyball is my favoritist sport in the world. I'm not REALLY good..but I can play. My mom pretty much forced me into the game of volleyball by making me go to a volleyball camp in the 6th grade. I pretended to hate it..but I loved every minute of it. I started playing competitively when I was in 8th grade, and played all the way up to my senior year.
I played on the school team starting in 8th grade. The school program was a complete joke....I hated every year except my 8th grade and freshman years. I only had fun on those teams because the coaches were cool. The rest of the years completely sucked. But I wasn't going to give up....just because the program sucked. Hopefully one of these years they'll get a coach that has an idea of what they're doing....
I also played on a club team called Magic Valley Volleyball Club (MVVC). This team was a lot of fun! There were actually coaches that new what they were doing, and the girls on the team were awesome. We all got along...and the tournaments were awesome. Most of them were down in Utah, but the one that we looked forward to the most was down in Davis, CA...the Volleyball Festival. I hope to graduate.... in less than 6 years...and become a coach for MVVC.
Now that I am in college...I try to keep myself busy with a little bit of volleyball. I play on an intramural team with some other girls in the hall...and we really aren't too bad. And we're all funny as hell, so that makes it even better. I also play on the school's club team...and hopefully this year will be better than last. We have some pretty cool people on the team this year, so I'm guessing we'll have lots of fun.
