PERSONAL
What are your hobbies?
My hobbies include poetry, digital photography, cooking, martial arts and music & dancing. What do they have in common? They are all art related leisure activities that are fascinating and fun as well. But the best part is that they offer me a way to develop my creativity and nourish my imagination. It is one of those skills not really taught that I find very useful for marketers who really want to excel in their profession.

What motivates you most in a job?
Money is not my first motivation even if it remains a good means to provide incentives for performing well in an organization. My first and second motivations in a job are respectively challenge and applying my statistical, marketing and IT skills. I also love working in an environment that fosters learning experiences of new technologies.

Why should you hire me rather than another candidate?
You should hire me if you are looking for a bright individual who can combine business acumen with technical skills. Though my key qualities are my attention to details and my sense of innovation, I am convinced that I can bring a combined set of skills - statisitcal, marketing and IT - required for today's business analyst  eager to deliver results in a timely manner. My experience working with a number of different projects also demonstrates my quick ability of adaptation. Furthermore, I believe that my bilingual French ability and my willingness to travel and/or relocate anywhere within the US or internationally can be of great use for your organization.
EDUCATION
Were you financially responsible for any portion of your college education?
While attending classes, I had to work at least two jobs for a total of  25 to 35 hours a week to pay for my education. It was extremely hard  to maintain such a pace given that I also found the time to get involved on campus and in the community. However, I was determined to reach my goal of getting a good education.

Why did you choose you major?
The choice of my major reflects my interest in mathematical sciences, marketing and IT tools. While a Masters of science in mathematics was too abstract and did not offer much flexibility in the program formulation, a MBA degree at The University of Montana was not tailored enough to accommodate my passion for applied mathematics. I finally enrolled in the Masters of Interdisciplinary Studies (MIS) which allowed me to select exclusively applied statistical and marketing courses that could better suit a company's needs in search for more accountability. Furthermore, the demand for Market Research Analyst is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2012 because of an increasingly competitive economy.

Do you plan to return to school for further education?
Even though I do not plan to return to school in the nearest future, I do not exclude this eventuality depending on the circumstances. I do believe however that ongoing training is a must for any professional eager to keep pace with the cutting edge research in their respective fields. That is the reason why I plan on learning continually. I am already considering getting SAS and Microsoft certified.
EXPERIENCE
Which survey research tools and statistical methods have you used?
I am familiar with self-administered surveys, both mail and online methods. This includes the different steps of the research process from the investigation to the implementation including survey design, questions wording and ordering, sampling design, coding, data analysis and interpretation. I also use independently or in combination multiple linear regression, factorial analysis, cluster analysis, probit and logit models and analysis of variance for data analysis purposes.

Which marketing concepts are you familiar with?
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) - Market uncertainty - Technological uncertainty - Competitive volatility - Metcalf's law (network externalities) - Knowledge spillovers - Supply chain management - Radical/breakthrough innovations - Integrated marketing communications (advertising & promotion pyramid) - Effective web site design and management (7 Cs) - The three Cs of pricing - The 6 factors affecting customer purchase decisions - The product adoption curve - Brand management

CAREER GOALS
Where do you want to be in five years? Ten years?
I see myself in five years in an executive position or head of a R&D department. In ten years, I hope to have learned enough to provide my services as an independent consultant.

How do you feel about working overtime?
Working overtime can be a necessity for any ambitious individual willing to excel in his career and I do not see any inconvenience in providing such an effort.

What other types of positions are you considering?
While I  thought about a career in IT or sales, I am also open to consider any teaching position in mathematics, marketing research or survey research.
