| To start Starstruck Magazine's Warped Tour Exclusive we've got an one-on-one interview with Joel, the lead singer of Good Charlotte. SS: Hey, my name is Chelsea and I'm from Starstruck Magazine. This is Kris, he's one of your fans. Joel: Hey Chelsea. Hey Kris. I'm Joel. SS: Hey Joel. Introduce yourself and the band to the readers of Starstruck Magazine as if nobody had ever heard of you. You can do it any way you'd like to. Joel: My name is Joel and I sing for Good Charlotte and we have a new record coming out October 1st. It's called The Young and The Hopeless and we're on the Warped Tour for the fifth year in a row. SS: So, what do you love about music? Joel: I just love the connection that I have with all our fans and the music. Our music, that brings people together. SS: Who are some of your influences? What made you start doing the music thing? Joel: Just basically punk music, you know. Like all the music, there's a lot of bands. Like my favorite band is Rancid, but there's a lot of bands I love. The band out right now that I love, the newest band that I've heard that I really love is, Saves The Day. You know, like I have all their records. For a young band I think they've got a lot of influences on bands like us. I love The Smiths and there's a lot of bands out that I love like there's a band called The Used that's awesome. There's a band called Finch that's really good. Um, all the bands on Warped Tour you know? There's a bunch of great bands on the tour this year. SS: And I believe Kris had a question for you. SS - Kris: The song 'Seasons', is it a true story? Joel: Yea, all our songs are true. SS - Kris: Can I ask what her name was? Joel: No, I'm trying to get over that man. Just let me get over it! [ laughter ] SS: So, what are your top five favorite albums of all time? Joel: Top five favorite albums? I'd say�well, everybody should have Green Day's Dookie. Everybody should have Goldfinger - Hang Ups, to me that's a great record. Um, Saves The Day - Say What You Are. Um, The Smiths - Louder Than Bombs and Rancid - Out Come the Wolves. SS: And our last question, if you could be any other member in the band who would you be and why? Joel: I would say Paul because Paul just has a good time and I always envy Paul cause he's got a real laid-back attitude and I'm pretty much a worry-worry kind of person. I worry a lot. Paul's just real chill. And I really love Paul, so I'd say Paul. SS: Well, thank you very much! Joel: Thank you! Oh and I just wanted to add something.
