Rock Summer Fest - Amphitheatre of Kria, Livadia

So, it was Saturday, 17th of July and S.I.C. Team and the usual “suspects” from Livadia prepared themselves for the festival that took place in the beautiful ancient theatre of Kria in Livadia. The time was 21:00, everything and everyone was ready and around 170-200 people waited anxiously for the local band, named Flesh Divers to get on stage. Dynamic punk with lots of core elements are the most ideal words to describe the band’s 4 songs. Plus they also played a cover to SEPULTURA’s “Territory” that drove many to merciless headbanging. 

However, even more people were gathered in front of the stage to see Extreme Violence playing, since their tight and brutal death metal easily deranged the extreme metallers. This band originating from Lamia, mainly played new songs and some from their demo “Sickening Butchery” showing us that they are ready to make a step forward, win a wider audience and expand their fan base. 

Next in line were Side Effect from Volos who played material from their new demo “Embedding The Silence…” and they also covered songs from HATEBREED “Not One Truth” and SLIPKNOT “Sic” as well as 2 of their new compositions, “Abusal Of Reality” and “Masturbation Is A Fact”. They managed without trying a lot to create the first mosh pits. 

So, it was time for Mass Infection to get on stage. The band that flawlessly reproduced songs from their demo “Believe The Lie” as well as 2 new ones “Decay” and “Eternal Oblivion”, managed to literally break our necks with a brutal and superb cover of “No Guts, No Glory” originally by BOLT THROWER. 

Next band was Lloth that consists of Tristessa (ASTARTE) and Nicolas “S.I.C” Maiis (INSECTED). This was the band’s first live appearance and revealed a line up perfectly bonded and energetic on stage. Their songs are a mixture of death with deathcore and some “sick” riffs along the way, that stick to your brain. Their covers to SIX FEET UNDER’s “Lycanthropy” and SEPULTURA’s “Roots Bloody Roots” spread disaster and panic! 

I don’t think that Inveracity need any presentation. They are the band that closed this festival and managed to leave us with the best possible impressions. Their brutal death metal with lots of power, energy and volume is impeccable and they played almost the whole “Circle Of  Perversion” album. I don’t think we need to say much for this band. Their live presentation, their performance and their communication with the audience, automatically establishes them as a band  set to conquer the metal world. They closed their live appearance and the festival with 2 new, yet untitled, songs and goodbyed the thirsty for such live shows metalheads of Livadia (and of the whole Greek province in general). 

Congratulations to S.I.C Team and the guys from Livadia for this wonderful, from every apsect, festival.

Σαββατο λοιπον(17 Ιουλιου) και η S.I.C. Τeam και οι γνωστοι πλεον Λειβαδιτες βαζουν μπροστα το  festival στον ομορφο χωρο του αρχαιου θεατρου Λιβαδειας.

Γυρω στις 21:00 όλα είναι ετοιμα και περιπου 170 με 200 ατομα περιμενουν την τοπικη μπαντα ονοματι Flesh Divers να βγουν στην σκηνη.Δυναμικο punk με αρκετα core στοιχεια χαρακτηριζουν τα τεσσερα δικα τους κομματια καθως και μια διασκευη στο Terittory(Sepultura) που εκανε πολλους να σηκωθουν από τα καθισματα τους.Ακομα περισσοτεροι όμως συγκεντρωθηκαν μπροστα στην σκηνη αφου το σφιχτοδεμενο brutal death των Extreme Violence ξεσηκωσε με ευκολια το”καφρικο” κοινο.Οι Λαμιωτες επαιξαν κυριως καινουρια κομματια και καποια από το demo τους “Sickening Butchery” δειχνοντας ετοιμοι να κανουν ένα βημα παραπανω και να γινουν γνωστοι σε ευρυτερο κοινο.

Στην συνεχεια οι Βολιωτες Side Effect παιζοντας υλικο από το καινουριο τους demo “Embedding the silence…”,διασκευες στα “Νot Οne Τruth”(Hatebreed) και “Sic”(Slipknot) καθως και δυο καινουρια(Abusal of reality,Masturbation is a fact) καταφεραν με ευκολια να δημιουργησουν τα πρωτα mosh pits. Στην σκηνη ανεβαινουν οι Mass Infection οι οποιοι αποδιδωντας τελεια τα κομματια από το demo “Believe the lie” και δυο καινουρια(Decay,Eternal oblivion) διαλυσανε στην κυριολεξια τους σβερκους μας με μια τσαμπουκαλεμενη διασκευη του “No guts,No glory”(Bolt Thrower).

Επομενη μπαντα οι Lloth που περιλαμβανει στην συνθεση της την Tristessa(Astarte) και τον Nicolas”s.i.c”Maiis(Insected).Αυτο ηταν το πρωτο live του group το οποιο έδειξε δέμενο και ειχε ενεργητικη σκηνικη παρουσια.Τα τραγουδια τους είναι μια μιξη  death-deathcore με “αρρωστημενα” riffs που σου κολλανε στο μυαλο ενώ με τις διασκευες τους στα “Lycanthropy”(Six Feet Under) και “Roots Bloody Roots”(Sepultura) εσπειραν τον πανικο.

Οι γνωστοι και μη εξαιρεταιοι Inveracity αναλαμβανουν να κλεισουν το festival και το καταφερνουν με το παραπανω.Brutal death metal με τεραστια δυναμη και περισσιο τσαμπουκα παιξανε σχεδον ολο το “Circle of  Perversion”.Δεν χρειαζεται να πουμε πολλα για αυτό το group.Η σκηνικη τους παρουσια και η αποδοση τους καθως και η επικοινωνια που εχουν με το κοινο,τους καθιστα αυτοματα μπαντα για μεγαλα πραγματα.Κλεισανε με δυο καινουρια,ατιτλα ακομα κομματια και αποχαιρετησαν το διψασμενο για τετοια live κοινο της Λιβαδειας και γενικα της επαρχιας.Συγχαρητηρια στην S.I.C team και στα παιδια από την Λιβαδεια για αυτό το πανεμορφο από ολες τις αποψεις festival.
