My start in Steel Dutch came from Patti McCoy of Windhaven Rabbitry in California. Lines include Windhaven, Lisa's, Schmalls, and Jill's Wild. Good foundation stock. I will be using them in the Steel and Black breeding programs aswell as with greys! Steels are among the most difficult colours to get right. First off you cannot get a litter of all steels simply by breeding 2 steels together. You'll likely always get a mix of black, and grey aswell, and colour consistancy is a whole differnt matter, but well worth it if you can get it. |
