Jack's Froggery
My Terrariums
Exoterra 24"X18"X18"
When I build my terrariums, I concentrate heavily on growing space. I want to have the most growing space with out losing my frogs to a jungle. A simple and creative way to do this is to grow up and on the background. This tank has a modified Great Stuff background (which is discussed in the tips section) so that I can grow more plants and eventually cover over the back of the tank. I like to create an overall lush visual effect. Moss is great for this purpose and there are many kinds to use to avoid it becoming boring. Also short creeping and hanging plants like baby's tears work well too. I also grow a fair amount of carnivorous plants as is evident by the many pitcher plants (nepenthes) and sundews seen in there. This picture shows the tank newly planted, providing all goes well, it should really start to take off in the next couple weeks and I will have updated photos as it fills in.
