An unidentified 58 passes Retford low level on a return merry-go-round. Full trains passing through often lose lumps of coal, which bounce around the platform with devastating force. The first time I saw this was in 1974 when a 56 lost a lump which passed within inches of my feet and would have broken bones. The same thing happened in April 2001. Somethings never change! |
