| Saxilby was as good a place as any to see the class 03 0-6-0 shunters. They were regularly towed back and forth fron Doncaster works. Lincoln had a large allocation.which were to be seen busily working around the yards (now a University campus and a bus depot). The "flower pot" type chimney was not to be seen on the first Lincoln allocations. The early members of the class had an exhaust more in the shape of a traffic cone. | ||||||||||||||||
