Underoath has completely refined their music... and I think it's for the better. They're Only Chasing Safety is a new wave of music that has been out lately, the whole screamo wave... but this is by far the best of all of the albums. In the past Underoath was a very religious influenced dark and heavy metal band. The old albums are great don't get me wrong... but this one is better.
The CD focuses on basically chasing safety. There are always things that you run away from in life and sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in and fight back. In life you always chase safety and try to avoid danger as much as possible. Thus making the CD entitled, They're Only Chasing Safety.
Every song on this album is great. If I had to pick 2 bad songs or less than average songs it would be The Blue Note and The Impact of Reason. The first song I listed is basically not a song. It's a little interlude of ambient sounds and noises but it sort of fits in with the CD. The second song I listed is just like an above average song. This is a phenominal CD if you didn't get the picture already.
