Fear Before's follow up album to the great Odd How People Shake is a bit of a let down. I mean don't get me wrong this is a great CD. But I really felt that they could of done a bit better. This CD is a lot harder than the previous one featuring more of a hardcore/screamo/metalcore sound than the older straight screamo sound.
This CD is crazy with the lyrics. The lyrics are so funny and sometimes don't make much sense in the context of the song. But non-the-less they are still awesome. For example in Should've Stayed in the Shallows the lyrics "More ups and downs than a trampoline, Let's coke like we're vaccums, Let's dance our troubles away, Before we drive our cars off bridges." Those lyrics are funny, yet they have a meaning. Don't Do Drugs.
Some songs that really stand out to me on this album are ; Should've Stayed in the Shallows and The State of Texas Vs. Fear Before. This is a very good hard/hardcore CD for you to listen to. Fear Before definately should keep you on your toes with this album.
