| Need a handyman in McKinney? | |||||||
| Hi, my name is Mark Sibley and I do handyman work and odd jobs. I was a homebuilder in this area for the last 5 years, but the current market has left me, like so many other builders, without a job. So I'm using my skills to make ends meet until something steady comes along. I do the types of tasks that most people don't have the time or the knowledge to do in their homes. From simple things like changing out locks, lights, dimmer switches,fans, and faucets, to the tasks nobody wants to do, like painting a room or assembling the kids' new basketball goal. Or fixing that leaning gate that you've been avoiding for the last 2 years. Or that toilet that makes noises at night. I also do trim work, like crown moulding, shoe moulding, and adding or repairing pantry shelving. I've been 'handy' for as long as I can remember, and I'm always willing to learn new things. I love working on old motorcycles, repairing cars, welding, inventing stuff... you get the idea. I'm not a 'contractor' and I don't do large remodels and additions, but I can connect you with reliable people for those jobs if you need. If you have some work that needs to be done in your home, just send me an e-mail and tell me about it. I'll tell you if it's something I can tackle or not. Some things I just don't do, like climbing on steep 2-story roofs, or doing specialized work, such as repairing copper plumbing, which should be referred to a licensed plumber. Likewise, I'll install a garage door opener, but repairing broken springs should be left to a professional. I generally charge $25 hourly to do miscellaneous work. Some jobs can be bid at a set price. Many times it's best if you purchase the materials and have me do the work. That way you know exactly what the materials really cost, and we have a more trusting relationship. I gladly work in neighboring areas like Allen, Frisco, Little Elm, Plano, Richardson, and so forth, but the cost of gas forces me to add $10 when I travel outside McKinney. You'll find me to be reasonable, pleasant, and honest. If you need any references, just let me know. Please send me an e-mail with your name, address, and a description of your repair needs, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Thanks, Mark Sibley [email protected] |
