Who is Oakley?

V. Oakley (Phromyothi) Boren set up the Siamese Pixie shop many years ago to make some money and kill time while she was unemployed. The Store only generated one check before CafePress instated the "$25 minimum before we cut you a check" policy.

However, Oakley thought it would be cool to continue to have a store. Instead of getting the money from CafePress, she would track how much she actually made there. Once that amount adds up to $10, out of her own pocket, she will make a donation to Thai Red Cross, a charity her late mother suggested.

After Oakley's mother, Khun Noi, passed away in 2007, the donation to Thai Red Cross Society, has been done, and will continue to be, in her honor.

Oakley currently has a main blog at OakMonster.com.

What's a Siamese Pixie?

The Siamese Pixie brand came to live in 2002, inspired by Oakley's then pixie short hair with bright red streaks and her new found interest in fantasy fiction genre. Pixies are associated with magic and joy with an ample dollop of mischief. Perfect fit for the product!

What is Cafepress?

CafePress.com allows anyone to sell a variety of merchandise at absolutely no cost. They take care of everything. Oakley gives them designs, and they print them and ship them for her. That's why she is able to tag on $1 mark up to benefit Thai Red Cross Society.
