INTERVIEW NOTES: No history of psychological abnormalities with Paige or family. However, Paige is highly emotionally driven, often to extreme measures with an inability to deal with conscious consequences.

Interview Notes: Paige presented with a good natured humorous personality with an edge of doubt. Upon encouraging her to relax she was willing to speak openly of her emotions (serotonin driven?), which she is well aware, is a major influence in her decisions. Paige admitted to trusting too openly and willingly and that in doing so, had most often led to betrayal. Speaks of her willingness to trust others as a fault.

Paige has difficulty understanding intangible ideas because she perceives the world as only existing in the physical. Consequently, she has an almost childlike understanding of how to deal with emotions. She has invented multiple coping mechanisms to bring these ideas/emotions into a form she is most comfortable processing. Examples following:

1) The Bathroom Tigers - She is abnormally curious and admitted to putting her life and those of others in danger to satisfy it. She has named her curiosity the 'Bathroom Tigers' (two of them?). She believes the Bathroom Tigers will eventually kill her and that they work against her. There is something more to the Bathroom Tigers but she refused to comment further on them.

2) Mind - Paige is subject to a lot of stress caused by her emotions, especially when it comes to personal relationships with others. She spoke of a 'voice' she named Mind, that was very condescending yet at the same time protective of her. It took a lot just to get this little bit of information as Paige was very reluctant to speak of this mechanism.

Paige has no recollection of where these mechs. came from stating only they just 'appeared' one day.

Paige views her photographic memory (PM) as both a gift and a curse. She feels for personal use and day to day activities, PM comes in handy. As a curse, she believes it was the reason for her involvement with the government and the anti-terrorist unit.

Paige admitted to being trained at a young age to control her memory specifically for large amounts of data. In doing so, her verbal retention has only developed to poor at best. The training was so intense it resulted in passive memorization, found only in a small percentage of those possessing PM. She uses recital to cope with thought-induced migraines. Agent demonstrated by reciting baseball averages backwards from Jul 19, 2001, and partial drosophila genome responsible for wing type. Will double check if she was correct. (Addendum: Correct on both accounts)

When asked to participate in tests involving the depth of her PM, she became paranoid and adimantly refused any testing of any kind.

Paige has a control issue and feels she is not in control of any aspect of her life. Her background has clearly molded her into who she is and I believe having to rely on herself and live independently will improve most aspects of her behavior.

SECTION ONE HISTORY:

Skills

Computers: Average
Languages: Fluent only in English. Not adaptable to verbal skills.
Weapons: Excellent
Intelligence: Highly intelligent with advanced medical skills.

Other: Poor retention of verbal instructions.

RECRUITMENT EVALUATION:

Phase I:
Perfect score in written evaluation, 8 minutes. Paige also pointed out an error with one of the questions. Given the uniqueness of the individual, these scores have no significance in placing her intelligence level. Scores are disregarded.

Phase II:

During the listening/instruction phase Paige was more interested in the men in her group than the task at hand. She was able to guide her partner with only a glance at the computer screen and then concentrated her efforts on flirting. As expected, the game was not challenging and did not hold her interest. Scores disregarded.

Paige and her unit arrived at base camp 30 minutes ahead of the limit.

Note: Other tests need to be designed in order to guage the efficiency and capacity of her memory.

BACKGROUND: Paige grew up a somewhat normal childhood with her father and brother, in North Carolina. Her father knew she had a photographic memory and contacted various tutors to help her through school. When it was apparent the tutors could no longer help her, he turned to the government. Paige was sent to a government/military boarding school for gifted children at the age of nine. She excelled in her studies having little interest in anything but science, particularly biology/medicine. Her father was limited to the time he could see her.

Age 17: Paige was assigned to a army research base in Texas. Research was of bioweapon capacity of which the exact nature is classified.

Age 20: The research staff was cut and relocated to the backwoods of Pennsylvania.

Age 21: Paige was recruited into Section One. NOTE: No records exist of what occured. Paige refused to even broach the subject. Official army records show facility experienced an accidental electrical fire, destroying the labs, no survivors.

Age 24: Paige introduced as Level One Field Operative/Med Tech to Section One after 6 months of lab work followed by two years of field op training.

Age 25: Paige promoted to Level Two Field Op.

Age 26: Recruited into SIA.
