Red Cell Warehouse

Glass showered around her as she broke through the window. To her immediate right was a guard and with one swift motion she shot at him and landed on the catwalk. Timothy was to her left; he dealt with another guard as well. Rope still attached, she dived for cover and then untangled herself from the rope. From her viewpoint she noted the positions of her fellow team members, Beta included. She gauged the situation. With Paige and Baz injured, they were left with few to deal with the many Red Cell operatives.

From their cover, Timothy and Jordan began shooting, taking down some of the force. To the left on the warehouse floor, were stacks of large wooden boxes, what was in them did not matter. She knew that Timothy and she would have to make their way to the offices, but the heavy fire coming from the stacks was preventing much infiltration.

Steadily, Jordan and Timothy moved towards the stairs, covering each other when needed. Finally securing the catwalk from the enemy, they went down to the main floor. They were all there now. She could see Saf with Paige and Baz, with Joshua close by too. All three injured, that wasn't good.

In her ear, she heard Kihnno Ericwhy couldn't she get that right. "Allbrood units rendezvous on GT, sector 8 center. Menace to me, sector 5 south."

She waited for a moment, wondering why the hell he was ordering them around. Perhaps he had a heads up on what was going on, but it still irked her. Nevertheless, she was forced to follow since Beta, confident in his leadership made their way to the respective position.

Once gathered in close proximity, as the enemy would allow, they took out a few more. She watched Saf again and what was happening around them. They were trying to be shot upon, however, Timothy and Cindy were provided excellent cover, taking out any threats.

Since the heavy firepower was now coming from inside the office area, it was decided that they would move in, taking out as many as they good. The faster they got that data and laid the charges, the faster they could be out of this hellhole.

Jordan peeked quickly into the data center. Both her and Timothy were just outside the doors. Eric, Saf and the rest of Beta had all worked to this point. There were still a large number of Red Cell around, but it was good for the moment. They had killed a great number to get where they were. How there were still people around was beyond her. Whatever was on those computers, she rationalized, had to be pretty important.

With hand signals, she indicated to Timothy that there were four men inside, two on the right, two on the left. Before doing anything, she checked her ammo, 4 to go. It'll have to do. With her fingers she counted, threetwoonethey quickly stepped into the doorway, taking out three guards, injuring the forth. Timothy finished him off with one shot. The room was fairly enclosed. Saf came in and provided cover for them, while they set about copying the data. Now came the hard part. There were three computers, all with data on them.

"I'll start with these two here," she said to Timothy, indicating to the two terminals on the east wall. The third computer was on the west wall. Timothy nodded and didn't say anything. She grabbed a chair and slid it over in front of the computers. They were password protected as expected. She opened up the CD-Rom drive and popped in the decoding disk, which would fool the computers into thinking it had gotten all the passwords. She heard the CD whirring away, doing its magic. Less than a minute later she was in.

"Tac 1, I am in the computer and proceeding to copy the data."

"Roger Alpha 3," Simon responded back to her. She plugged in the remote satellite that served as an uplink between the computer and the ones back at the safe house, where Simon and Gray were. She started the transfer and moved to the second computer.

She glanced around; Timothy was occupied in front of his computer, while Saf had her back turned to them. The others were off somewhere setting the charges. Since no one was watching, she took out one of the disks from Joshua. She hated him for making her do this. To bad she couldn't slug him or something. Might increase the tension between the two, but hell, at least she would feel better. She smiled slightly at that thought. She clicked on the explorer to see all the files on the hard drive, and selected them all and sent them to the ROM drive. As the files started copying, she moved to the other computer and proceeded to copy the data.

The computers were fast, something that she was thankful of. The first computer was still chugging away, the uplink lagging a bit due to the amount of data being sent and Timothy sending data as well. She tucked away the two disks into her vest pocket again. She had 4 more disks, hopefully that would be enough. As soon as the first computer was done she switched. And copied that data. Once again, copying the data to the disks was faster and she headed over to Timothy to see how he was doing. She needed to get his computer. He had started after her because they only had one decoding disk between them. And to top that off, there had been problems with the uplink.

"Almost done here," he said to her. "You?"

"Ya, it's going. Still got about half left. Uplink is slow," she replied.

Timothy nodded, "I can get that faster if you like."

She nodded, this was perfect, he would be busy with her computer and she could copy the data from this one (the third and final computer).

He moved, allowing her to sit and went over to the other side of the room. She had to be quick with this, since she didn't know how long he was going to take. Glancing around again, to make sure no one was watching, which no one was, she stuck in the disk and started copying. This computer had less data on it, she was ecstatic to see that, the sooner it would be done. Like the other two computers she wondered what was on them, and why the hell Joshua would want them. The data was going back to Section anyhow, since it was a Section operation, not SIA. As curious as she was however, there just wasn't the time to look.

She was done and Simon was done with her computer. Twenty minutes had elapsed and they were done. Upon their completion, she and Saf set the last charges around the data center, making sure the computers would be destroyed. The made their way back to the choppers that were waiting for them outside. They headed towards the east side of the building.

They were fired upon however, or at least Saf was, who told them to vacate the area. They did, moving towards the others. They met where Paige and Baz where and she saw them for the first time. They both didn't look so hot. Joshua was there with them. They needed to get them out to the choppers and quickly. Timothy helped Paige, while Dennis helped Baz along. Joshua seemed to be in some semblance of injured, but refused help, leaving herself to provide cover for them. They steadily made their way outside and into the choppers. There were few red cell members left in that side of the building, and she only had to deal with one.

She wondered where Saf and Eric were, and at the same time, Saf's voice filled her ear, "This is Alpha 4, Beta 1 is injured, and we are proceeding to egress."

Paige, Baz, Joshua and Eric all were on the first chopper, Saf went with them given her medical knowledge. Jordan wanted to go with them, to help, especially since it was her whole team on that chopper, however there wasn't enough room. So she climbed in with the others, happy to be finally leaving. She looked around at the others, the Beta team, minus Eric and wondered what they were all thinking. She was pretty sure Timothy had a burning side from being dragged along the roof when they were coming in. It would probably scab up nicely. Her knees ached where she had fallen on them, but nothing too serious, which is something she wished she could say about those in chopper one.

Jordan felt awful now, four injuredbut then could she have expected anything differentgoing in with no fire power numbers, and then Section. It all came down to them. She knew what was expected in Section, yet, she wondered what exactly Gray and Rebecca would be thinking. This by far was the bloodiest mission they had done upon joining the SIA. Definitely a hell of a lot more intense then what was originally predicted.
