Aware she was alone in the room, Jordan kicked off her shoes and put her feet on the table, while reading the file on a terrorist group, Arcanists, as they called themselves. They were based out of Beijing and had a tag signature of infective viruses and such lethal substances. They could possibly have done the bank job, but what kind of motive did they have for it? Did they even need a motive? So many questions were filling her head and she wasn't sure if they would be answered. Flipping the page over, she read on, discovering their hatred of consumerism and large corporations. Oh, they had motive alright. She added them to her list, and grabbed another file of the pile. There had to be at least 10 more files. She was getting so tired of just sitting here looking at reports and letters. Where was Saf?

15.56 hours

Jordan threw the last file back onto the table, tipping over her coffee cup. She quickly reached for it only to find it was empty, so it would not have mattered anyhow. Saf still wasn't back and she was beginning to wonder what exactly has happened to her. She walked towards the door to find out, when Saf came in with some papers in her hand. She was smiling.

"Where were you?" she asked.

"Going over decoding with Michelle." Safara answered.

"Oh okay, and?"

"Well, I've decoded the messages," Saf started, sitting down and spreading out the papers on the table. "CTU simply did not have the technology to deal with the messages. It took me awhile to get it, but here's the jist of them."

Jordan nodded, letting Saf continue, "Okay, the attack was on June 9th, but there were a number of phone calls during the week before. On the Friday, June 6th, there was a phone called to the bank from a potential new client, Catherine, about her appointment for Monday regarding the Energy stocks."

"Okay" she replied, not quite following where Saf was going.

"Catherine was a code name for the gas, I found it in previous phone calls, and the Energy stocks indicated that maintenance crew had been in already to fix the HVAC system."

Jordan starred at Saf, all that info from one phone call? Shit, whomever they were dealing with sure knew their stuff. She mentally crossed off one of the names on her list of potential groups who did it.

Safara continued, "So that phone called then led to a phone called between Benny and Sarah, the main contacts. They did not talk about much except the weather and picking up the kids again. It was conveniently raining that dayI checked the forecast, and they talked about it raining. Sarah told Benny that it was going to rain Monday night. That detail was overlooked by CTU staff and thus we have the bank incident."

"Okay, so had these phone calls been decoded properly, CTU would have been able to stop this?"

"Possibly, but I doubt they would have been able to stop it entirely. And also, they simply did not have the information to decode the messages. Had they, then maybe." Saf replied, shrugging.

Jordan nodded, "Okay, so I have the possible groups here." She walked over to where she was working and grabbed the list. "And I put the possible motives for doing so, oh except for this group, they don't have the capacity to talked in coded messages" She crossed out one group and then handed the paper to Saf.

"Most of them are just out for revenge against some of the higher ups in China. And by the looks of it, it worked."

Saf nodded. "Alright, we don't have to come up with one single group who did this, only a list, so I think we're done."

"Great, lets type this report up and get the hell outta here." Jordan replied, grabbing some of the papers and sitting down at the computer.

"Gee Jordan and I thought you liked it here." Saf replied smiling.

"HA.HAsitting in a room with no windows, sitting for hours and hours, you've got more patience for this type of stuff. I don't do desk work," she replied in a serious tone before winking and cracking a smile at Saf.

Safara merely shook her head and started tidying up.

"You will have the results from our report within the week, at the meeting with Mr. Wellington on Thursday." Safara said to Tony as they were leaving.

"Excellent. Thank you for your hard work on this." Tony replied.

Neither of them replied to Tony, but Jordan said, "Thank you for your openness and hospitality during our visit."

Tony nodded and then grabbed a couple boxes. "These are for you.call them parting gifts."

Safara reached out for them, "Thank you Tony."

"Well have a safe flight back." Tony said as he opened the car door for them.

"Thank you."

Jordan climbed into the car with Safara behind her. As soon as the car pulled out of the parking lot Saf handed her one of the boxes Tony gave them.

"What do you think is in them?" she asked.

"No idea, but let's find out, shall we?" Saf replied.

Jordan opened her box and pulled out a white mug. It has the CTU logo on it, with the eagle that carried the spears and palm leaves. She looked over at Saf who has pulled out the same thing.

"Complimentary coffee mugs, must've noticed how much coffee and tea we drank." Saf said.

Jordan smirked, "No kidding. What's in the other box?"

"Just another mug."

"We should give that one to PaigeorRebecca."

"Paige." Safara replied.

"I'm glad you agree," she replied. "Back to the big apple I suppose I wonder what everyone else has been up to"
