"Vibrancy for a Dead Man"
June 13, 2008

Bella watched it all unfold in front of her, saw the shocked looks take over her team mates faces. This was not meant to happen. But then, was anyone ever meant to die on mission. She saw the exchange on the screen between the cop and the two agents and she moved to the rear of the van.

She helped get the body into the van and sat down as Paige did her thing. Wallet, phone, badge, keys. She smiled to herself as Paige threatened the cop. The blonde was telling the truth she could and...looking at Sebastian...would do it. He believed her, good man. Once he was under they got a move on. Saf wasn't happy that the cop had been bought in, but hey, what happened happened. Bella had a thought.

"Scan the police frequencies. Make sure he didn't call for back up." The last thing they needed was more cops to show up just now. She noticed that everyone was allocated jobs and no one was driving, so she knew that it would be her task. She got and moved no problem when she was asked to and made sure she had the right directions.

She tried to tone down her driving. Normally she wouldn't care but most of the people in the car were already in shock, she didn't need to make it worse. She took a few corners kind of sharply but she managed to tone it down enough to not hear any complaints from the back.

She pulled into the garage a little faster than most people would but she stoped exactly where she meant to and wasted no time getting out of the car. She walked towards Jordan.

"You contact Gray?" Jordan asked.

Bella nodded, "Aye, he's not exactly pleased though. Pissed I'd say." The truth was the truth. The situation sucked the boss was most likely to be angry.

Jordan looked glum, anxious, who would be. Well actually Bella. She was calm and ready to answer questions in case anyone was in too much shock to do so. She saw what happened on the screen, and as for on site...well someone else would have to give a first hand account.

Bella headed straight to the debriefing room, no sense getting in the way. She waited quietly, respectfully until the others got there. Her sketch book sat in front of her on the table and a thought occurred to her. She opened it and began to draw. A little slower than usual, a little more carefully. She was drawing the face of a man she didn't know, the face of a man she had only seen on screen and after death. But she managed to give it some life, some vibrancy. Ripping it out of her book she started to make a copy of it when the others entered the room. She pushed the drawing out of site and continued the other from memory. At least until she was spoken to anyway.
