| My Night with Reg chronicles the lives of six friends, their loves, their fears and their relationships.
We meet Guy as he prepares for his flat-warming. He is anxious to please his friends, especially John whom he hasn�t seen for years. Eric, new to the area, is helping out with a bit of decorating. The atmosphere is a little stilted when John arrives but Daniel (a mutual friend of Guy and John) bursts in and livens everyone up � at the same time eyeing up Eric. Some secrets are revealed � particularly relating to Reg, Daniel�s boyfriend and Guy�s true feelings towards John. At the start of the second scene, Guy has invited people back after Reg�s funeral. Emotions are running high � understandably. Bernie and Benny (a long-standing, if unhappy, couple) are also present and only complicate matters when they relate their connection to the late, lamented Reg. Guy almost seizes the moment to talk to John but fails to find the right words. By the final scene, Guy has passed away leaving his flat to John. Will John and Daniel be honest with each other? What happened between Eric and John? |
