Sashank's Latest Story-My Cardboard Car
Not so long ago, when I was one and half years old, I built a cardboard car from an old video carton and a steering wheel from a broken toy. I painted it like rainbow and decorated it with some cool stickers. I placed the steering wheel perfectly in a slot I made in the front of the carton. I was very happy to have made my own cardboard car.

This car became my favorite toy. I was always careful with it and treated it nicely. I used to get into it and imagine racing on it. Sometimes I would just be taking it for a pleasant run. I took turns with my friends to play with the car, when they came home.

When I grew up a little more, the cardboard car was becoming too small for me. One day, when I got into it and sat on the drivers seat, it ripped.  But I continued to play with it.
After a few days, my parents told me that we were moving! I had to leave behind my ripped car!

As I drove away to my new home I saw my cardboard car lying there in the old house and wept. I was so upset. When I went into my new house, I found that I liked it, but I was still upset about having to leave behind my car.
Now I am going to be 8 years old. I dont have a toy car, but I have a true bike. I ride on it to my hearts content and I dont think about the car as much as I did sometime back. So, I understand that you may have things you adore, but you cannot hold on to them. When you lose something, you may actually land up with something you would eventually treasure more!
