the back story the next story
chad enderberg looked out the window glumly, it had been thre weeks since school had let out and he still didn't know what to do with himself. the summer days were wasting away and he didn't have a clue what to do about them.
there was a knock at the door and chad heard the front door open and heard some voices in the living room. deciding that boredom was a worse enemy then whatever could have come in through the door he walked from his bedroom to the living room.
"hey chad!" venessa said
venessa gertrude was a fox salamander hybrid, she didn't show her hybridity very much, the only thing that was salamanderish about her was her lizardlike tail.
"hey ven," chad said "hows things"
"oh they're doing ok" ven said smiling broadly
"what happened?" chad said getting suspicious
"venessa got a prize from the school today." mrs. enderberg said stepping into the living room from the kitchen.
venessa gave a fake look of being hurt like she had wanted to keep stringing chad along for a little while longer.
