Last 8 years ago, Malaysia is free entry for any Myanmar Passport holder. There is big Burmese community in Johor Baru which is a boder line with Sinagpore. Any Burmese who tried to work in Singapore but visa stay was unable to extend are just to go Johor Baru and then come back to Singaore again. That grace time, no visa require to enter Malaysia. Now unfortunately, Burmese passport require visa.

Since approx. 1993, Burmese passport require to get visa to enter Malaysia. Then, Burmese community in Johor Baru was slowly disappeared. Sinagpoer Government also imposed visa requirement to Burmese passport holder and Johor Baru is no longer harbor for Burmese.

In Singpaore, there is two category for Burmese who can apply for Malaysia visa.
Category 1. Singapore colored card holder eg. PR, EP, Workpermit, DP, Student pass, Special pass  ..etc
Category 2. Social visit holder who come to Singapore with vilid visa.
