Srimad Bhagavad Gita
Glorification
(From Vishnu Purana)

gitayah pathanm krutva mahatmayam naiva yah pathet
vrutha patho bhavet tasya shrama eva hyudahrutah

The recitation of the Gita is fruitless and mere labor if this glorification is not recited after the Gita recitation.

sansagaram ghoram tartumichhati yo janah
gitanavam samaruhya param yatu sukhena sah

Whoever wants to swim through happily this material world, the ocean of misery, he should get aboard the ship of the Gita.

yah shrunoti cha gitartham kirtayechcha svayam puman
shravayechcha parartha vai sa prayati param padam

Whoever listens, sings, or recites the meaning of the Gita for the benefit of others achieves the supreme spiritual status (liberation.)

ye shruvanti patahntyeva gitashastram aharnisham
na te vai manusha gneya deva eva na sanshayah

Those who always learn, recite or listen the Gita, they should not be considered human beings but demigods without doubt.

yatra gita vichascha pathanam paathanam shrutam
tatraham nishchitam pruthvi nivasami sadaiva hi

0 Earth, I (Vishnu) certainly always stay there where there is a thought of Gita, or study, teaching, or listening of the Gita.

gitartha shrvana sakti mahapapa yuto’piva
vaikuntha samavapnoti vishnuna saha modate

One who has become eager to hear the meaning of Gita enjoys with Vishnu even if he has committed great sins.

yasmad dharma mayi gita sarva gnana prayojika
sarva shastramayi gita tasmad gita vishishyate

Gita is spiritual source of knowledge and the essence of all scriptures. Therefore Gita is the best scripture.

sarvopanishado gavo dogdha gopala nandanah
partho vatsah sudhirbhokta dugdham gitamrutam mahat

(If) All the Upanishads are cows, (then) Lord Krishna is the milkman, Arjuna is the calf, Gita-amrut (necter) is the milk, and an intelligent man is its drinker.

gitagitam na yajgnanam tad viddhya sura sangnakam
tanmogham dharma rahitam vada vadanta garhitam

That knowledge which is not sung in Gita is not in the Vedas; and because such knowledge is slandered in the Veda-Vedanta, it is irreligious and demoniac.

deha manusha mashritya chaturvarnyam tu bharate
na shrunoti pathatyeva tamamruta svarupinam
hastat tyaktva’mrutam praptam kashtatkshvedam samashnute
pitva gitamrutam loke labdhva moksham sukhi bhvet

One who, even after getting birth in Bharat, does not listen or study the nectar-like Gita, he is like a dead man.  He rejects nectar in his hand and unhappily takes poison.  One who drinks Gita-nectar in this world becomes happy by attaining liberation.

gitasu na vishesho’sti janeshuchcha vacheshu cha
gnashveva samagreshu sama brahma svarupini

In Gita, there is no discrimination of high or low human being. Because Gita is transcendental, its knowledge benefits equally to all human beings.
