If you kill our cow, our horse or our man, we shall pierce you with lead, so that you may no more be killed of our brave men. - Av 1.16.4

 

O house, may you stand at this place permanently, rich with horses (asvanti), with cows (gomati) and with truthful as well as pleasing speech (sunritavati). May you flourish full of vigor, full of clarified butter, full of milk for our great fortune (prosperity). -Av. 3.12.2
