I strangely don't have much to say about this issue, it's basically just a logical extension of the story, now finally past the 'Becky obsession' story arc. You'll notice little change from previous issues.. the style is slightly more tweaked and refined, but the backgrounds are still pretty terrible. This is because I did most of the shading and backgrounds late one night, and I didn't find it necessary at the time to give readers a noticable improvement on that front. Also, Zig Finley has some pretty well done (in comparison) backgrounds, so if you want to see some improvement look there. Well, look there when it's done at least. As for the 'ending' situation, you'll find this to me more of a cliffhanger-esque end than the usual random dropoff. So, I suppose my endings are getting "bettorb". Oh, and the cover proves that Jessica's hair is not staples and she is not bald. Fucka.
The other day my friends and I were looking through previous SDL issues and trying to put together a floor plan of Steve's apartment. These attempts were in vain, however, as we slowly realized that such a task is impossible. Not only to objects randomly change place, but the plant and the lamp are complely interchangeable.. changing place sometimes more than once per issue. I wasn't able to pacify this situation in this issue, though.. the lame-o floor plan we did put together was still at school when I did the backgrounds. Whoops!
Anyway, enjoy the issue. P'raps #6 will come in a decent amount of time, as opposed to the obscene 5 months it took me to whip up this one.
