Made March- April 2003
This issue took a while. At least, about double the length of time it took to produce issues 2 and 3. The only thing I have to blame for this is my own laziness and lack of initiative, along with a period of about two weeks where I simply did not draw. The progress was also slowed by my own personal concerns about doing a decent ending.. at least the ending is actually pretty good this time, eh? Eh? EH?? .. fine, don't talk to me. I don't need you. I don't need anybody. Leave me the hell alone, you frigging rat. You're just like the others.

My intent for this issue was for it to begin with a new storyline, but as you read it you'll reallize that's complete BS. I ended up somehow tying up some loose ends and making this issue actually close out the story from issues 1-3. Whoops. Ah well, it's not like anyone cares except for me.

Page 9 is the result of what happens when I get an image in my brain and I'm not willing to modify it. That gargantuan panel there is all that came to mind, and it's all I drew. Because of this, we end up with a panel that has 90% white for a background. Lay off man, I'm working like a dog here. And by working like a dog, I mean I do all my comics in classes to
avoid work. Same deal, right?

News flash: I absolutely hate making covers. This issue was completely finished, and I still had no idea what to put on the cover. My friends and I came up with some pretty good ideas, but I opted for the crappy and bland cover you see here because it 'fit in with the theme'. I should really stop lying to myself, how long can I really expect to make covers with nothing more than floating heads? Not long, that's how .. long. Stop laughing at me.

So apparently, I can't draw. If you didn't realize this before (and how couldn't you? The phones, the trees, the backgrounds.. God damn!) just take a look at our new character. Gather around children, for some actual things said in reference to her:

"Why does she have half a head?"
"Is she bald?"
"It looks like she has staples in her head."

Woo! It's a
ponytail, people. Jesus. Her head is only shaped awkwardly because that's my style, you see. Hyuk.

Anyway, enjoy the issue. Now if you're lucky, I'll get a fifth issue out all quick-like. In the meantime, Superbob (my "backburner" comic) will probably be up soon. Issue 5 might take a while to get done because I'm pretty comfortable with where it left off at the end of #4, but I'll surely get to it in good time- I can't just let my ideas for the story to fester in my brain.
