Music First! is a music educational project, aimed at talented South Africa musicians who have not had the possibitiy to have a formal music education. The project comprises of two stages. The first is a 3 week long music workshop in South Africa April, 2002 and the second is a residency for selected musicians at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) in Copenhagen 2002-3. This project is part of Shuttle 02 and is supported by the Danish Center for Culture and Development (DCCD), Danida, Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Danish Secretariat for International Cultural Relations

A group of professional musician/teachers worked in Durban during the month of April as part of the Shuttle '02 project organised in conjunction with the Rhythmic Conservatory in Denmark.
