Pop Shove it (from Monsterskate.com)
by Kris Markovich
Frontside:
1. Position your front foot
behind the front set of bolts
and a little off-center, letting your toes hang off the
board
a bit.
2. Position your back foot on the inside edge of the
tail.
3. You want to scrape the tail around. Think frontside
180 ollie, and cut the movement of your back foot in
half.
And don't actually turn your body. Kick it hard. Pretend
you're a mule.
4. As the board rotates flatly under your front foot --
if
your front foot is in the proper position, it will stop
the
board from flipping -- catch it with your feet and push
it back down.
5. Ride away.
Backside:
1. This is easier than frontside pop shove its. But try
it
standing still or on the grass because it will be easier.
2. Position your front foot about an inch below
the
bottom bolts of your front truck. Keep your front foot
flat.
3. As you compress,
pop with your back foot and slide
it backside a little bit. The board will spin around.
Keep your front foot flat and at the normal angle
(perpendicular to the board) -- this stops the board
from flipping. The griptape of the board should spin
right below your front foot.
4. As the board comes
around, press it down and
land on the bolts.
