not those kind of trucks, silly! |
Trucks
(by Brandon Keiler): Independent: You can't go wrong with Independent trucks. From my experience, they ain't bad! Not bad at all. Some people say that Independents suck skanky ass. If your one of those people then suck on this: Independent trucks have been around for the longest time. If they really sucked then no one would be buying them and no pro's would skate for them and they would go out of business. And it's no fuckin' monopoly I tell ya! There's plenty of other trucks out there to buy! But, Independent trucks have been in business for a long time, what does that say to you? Tensor: Tensor's have a "self lubricated replaceable slider piece". What that really means: Tensor's have a little plastic thing (that falls out many times) in it that makes nose and tail slides slide easier. Webb: Webb's are supposedly the
lightest trucks. And they are supposedly "helium treated". I doubt it. And if
they did have helium in them it wouldn't make any difference. I even conducted
(whoa! big word!) an experiment once. I found a tank of helium one time and I
was making balloons with it (I like balloons, they're fun). Then I thought "hey,
if I fill an empty plastic bottle with helium I should be able to throw it
really high in the air! That would be cool!" So I did. And it didn't fly any
higher in the air than it did without the helium. Destructo: My destructo's are alright. They are good trucks. Nothing real special, not many disadvantages. However you might have to buy new bushing's for it later cause I hafta get new ones. I guess my bushings blew up or something. When this happens you just go to your skate shop and get some Doh-Doh's.
