News on the Green Bay Skate Park

I heard from someone that there was something in the newspaper that there's going to be a skate park built in Ashwaubenon at the end of spring. And at the end of the summer the park in Green Bay is going to be built. So that's 2 skate parks now.

Old News

When I first started skating with Aaron in '97 and we were just 2 little grade school posers we went up to City Hall and asked for a skate park. We had petitions and went to meetings and where on the news once (it was horrible, I was asking for a skate park and then they film me trying to do an ollie.)

Well, after a couple months we gave up and some other people took it up and tried to get a park at Joanne's Park's old pool. They started raising money for that and only have a little bit to go.

We had our fame in the newspaper (front page!)...

We were stoked, now it's kind of embarrassing cause we were so dumb and we couldn't skate for shnit. In case your wondering "what happened? you've been skating for 5 years and your not even amateur?" Well, I quit a year later then started back up in April 2001. Aaron quit and now he snowboards and rollar blades. Once in a while he'll get on a skateboard and try it for a little bit.
